In summary

The Links at Sherwood Golf & Athletic Club is frequently praised for its well-maintained course, challenging layout, and friendly staff. Many golfers appreciate the fast and undulating greens, as well as the reasonable pricing. However, some visitors have noted issues with slow pace of play and overlapping holes, while others have expressed dissatisfaction with event management, particularly regarding parking and temperature control in the banquet hall.

I had a very nice visit. The course is an excellent shape. The staff was outstanding and the weather was great. This track is tough. It has something for every skill level. So for me it is fun and exciting. Give it a shot you will not regret it.

This is an older course with a muni feel. Staff inside was great. Very crowded feel to the layout as holes are very close and overlap at some points. You will hear four yelled often. Fairways for the most part were good, some bare spots. Very tight and lots of trees. Outside the fairway is a little rough and hard to play. Greens were great. Small turtle shell type greens. Placement of approach is a must. Very fast and undulating. Definitely would play again if in the area, not one I would travel to go play. Pace was a little slow but not bad.

The name speaks for itself, greens and hills. The course is not particularly long but hilly. The greens are always spectacular and fast. ( Green Superintendent 🥂) Dont get heavy-handed, or you can roll it off these sloped deceptive green monsters, lol. Customer service is great, and the pro shop is stocked with clothing and equipment. After 18 holes of crying and laughing, we head to the restaurant for some good food and refreshments. It is truly one of our favorite courses to play. You can't beat the price.

Haven't play that many courses, but this is the best Muni I've played since Rancho Park in LA in the 70s. Greens are fast and true, under good repair. Trees come into play on most longer holes and water on several holes, too. Elevation change makes things challenging. Even the carts were on excellent shape and well charges. Price is right also. I played the front nine twice breaking off from a group, though I heard the back nine may be better. The 9th green requires a good shot to get to a back pin position. Assuming you get up there from off the green, delicate putting is needed to keep fr…

For the price this place was unbeatable. Everyone was nice and the greens were a ton of fun to play on. Signage wasn't the greatest so study the map but it's a unique layout around some neat houses. I'd come back. Factor price in before people complain about some maintenance.

I don't recommend booking their banquet hall for events. What they fail to tell you when you pay is although you're renting the banquet space, the parking lot is still open and completely crowded with vehicles of the people playing golf. It was mind blowing to me that they failed to leave out this very important detail, as i would not have booked this venue for 97 guests knowing there wouldn't be anywhere for them to park. On the day of my event (Saturday), the nonchalant staff recommended that my guest park across the street and walk to the venue. Kiehl is a very, very busy street, so this re…

No enforcement of tee times and slow play make rounds last 5+ hours. When questioned about it, the young man in the pro shop stated it wasn't his problem. Poor management and poor customer service.

I am an event planner and a relative of the bride who together we obtained this venue. We had started preparing for a June 18th wedding one year in advance. We paid for June 17, 2022 (to decorate) and June 18, 2022 (wedding). However, on June 17 while decorating, with only 7 people in the building it began to get extremely hot. We informed Barbara that it was extremely hot, she told us, that we needed to keep the door closed to that long hallway, do not block vents, and to keep doors closed. In addition, she informed us that we could bring in fans. She did look at or attempt to make adjustment…
