In summary

The Golf Club at Blue Heron Hills receives praise for its beautiful venue, friendly staff, and quality food, making it a popular choice for dining and events. However, opinions on the golf course itself are mixed, with some visitors appreciating the challenging layout and others expressing disappointment over maintenance issues, such as poor greens and fairways. What the new owners have done to this venue is amazing. It is an absolutely beautiful venue with a warm, welcoming atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease. The staff is incredibly friendly, attentive, and a true pleasure to work with, making the entire experience seamless from start to finish. And the food is outstanding—flavorful, beautifully presented, and always a highlight of the day.

Went there for the first time with my wife for dinner tonight & we will definitely be back! The wings were some of the best I’ve had in a while & the crispy chicken sandwich was big enough to split between 2 people. The fries were different than most places in that they were fresh cut & battered. Reasonable drink prices and service was great. Can’t recommend this place enough

The new restaurant has delishous food.Yoy have a lot of options. Even if gluten free. Shay was out server. She was great and very friendly. Like a lot of small businesses this restaurant needs people to come in. Get some friends and head over to this great addition to the area. BTW the owner is not affiliated with the golf course. They are here to stay if the community supports them. Don't let the future plans for the golf course keep you from going to this great place.

Update: We were reached back out to in regards to our experience. That was greatly appreciated. We had an open dialog and we were requested to extend a second chance. We took them up on the offer and I am glad we did. The food was great, not a single complaint. We got the breaded fish fry, Joe the head chef took the time to bring it out to us and had also addressed the previous experience, the fish was very flavorful and the tarter sauce was homemade and it tasted like it was. The fact they took the time to reach out to us is telling, they care. We were not given excuses we were asked to give…

I was willing to give the new owner a pass on my poor meals there, but growing pains should be done. Compound this with the big problem I have with the owner's family's development plans, sours my whole experience their. This man should just serve good food and stay out of real estate. It is a distraction.

I'm from Massachusetts and I came to Ontario to visit relatives. Had my nephew set up a tee time for Saturday morning. Upon hearing the name of the course I went online for the reviews and was very skeptical upon hearing how run down and dried out the course was. It must have been some disgruntled customers because the course was in great shape. I had a hard time finding any dried out fairways and the greens were very playable. Coupled with a very cool layout. I will be returning every year I come back to New York to visit. And highly recommend checking this place out.

This is a GREAT course. A harder course then some I have been to, but so worth it! The course was in great condition! Greens were lightning fast. Better have your game on!

First time golfing here and the place feels like they fit a golf course into a neighborhood. A few great holes mixed in with short par 4s and tiny par 3s. Club house was overly fancy but then has dart boards near the bar. Fine dining with darts... also, Ice cream stand at the turn instead of burgers and dogs, weird

Tees and greens were decent. Rest of course was either so dried out your club would bounce or soggy from too much pooled water.. Scenery is lovely, but course is in bad shape.

Got a "nostalgia" round in before Blue Heron is no more. It's been 20+ years since I played it. Still love the layout, still one of the hardest tracks to navigate, but it is a shell of the course I once knew and loved. The homeowners are championing the "saving of Blue Heron" with their signs, but the owners have already sold out. Stopped watering fairways, greens are in bad shape, garbage overflowing at tees, tee boxes lack water and proper cutting, waste areas are really overgrown and unkept, I could go on and on. It's sad, I remember the opening of this "crown jewel" track. In it's day it w…
