This a nice public course. A very flat, walkable front nine that is jammed in a small space (lots of layups and dog legs) and a rolling hills back nine with a more traditional golf course feel... And wonderful views!

We arrived for a tee time just before 11am on a Saturday. It was predicted to be a stormy day, but the weather was perfect with overcast skies. The course was well groomed and fun to play. Other golfers were also very kind. We were able to get in 12 holes before the lightning and pouring rain came in. We were pleased to be given a raincheck for 9 holes in the near future, due to the rain. We are looking forward to going back to finish our last 9.

I really want to give 5 stars. Based on the other reviews I was certain we would be able to. Pros: very nice pro shop, clean, updated, friendly staff. The course is decent as far as layout, the clubhouse is nice, country and cozy aesthetically. It was hopping with a party, people playing cornhole, eating and drinking. That was great to see. Cons: the fairways are so dry, coarse and just neglected, the ant hills have set up their own villages. The greens were decent, but barely. It looked like an abandoned golf course. Dry, brown, dead. The beautiful photos you see posted by others and on the…

Sycamore is a beautiful course and great challenge. You can tell the owners have put a lot of effort in making your time at the club an amazing experience. I have visited 6 times this season and every time I’ve visited they’ve been working on something new. I have 0 complaints. The course, views, pro shop, and bar are phenomenal. I love the drink selection and the food choices. My favorites to order after a round are a double Buffalo Trace and the hot maple wings. It’s also really nice to see a staff that cares about the experience of your visit and the care of the course. I have always felt v…

Course is in great shape, especially with the drought this season. Greens are in very good condition, tee boxes are fine and the fairways still green. Nice job of upgrading the course. Thanks

I haven’t golfed here since the 70s so I didn’t know what to expect. We have had a lot of rain recently so the course was in great shape. Some of the best greens we played all year. Lots of doglegs makes it challenging. Overall I love the course and I think the owners are serious about making it better. Everyone was so nice. Worth the trip for us. Keep up the good work.

Fun track, pretty basic. The course had a lot of money and time put into it since the last owners, but the biggest improvement is in the clubhouse/restaurant. Course is usually hard and dry no matter the season but also not packed like every other course. Price is a bit high for a quality of the course imo. $60 for 18 is standard for a better course, but it's not price gouging.

Since new ownership has taken over in recent years, I have supported and golfed here quite frequently whether it be the tournaments hosted by the course or the weekend tee times or numerous weekly evening rounds. Probably 40+ times if I had to estimate. Here’s what I view as pros and cons. Pros: - The new owners definitely put effort into turning this place around in recent years - The place is noticeably cleaner and they have done a ton of work to the building. - Paved the parking lot - Cleaned up the trees and brush surrounding the course - The availability to golf seems to be no problem as…

Sorry to say but they have really let the course go down hill. The greens were very slow as they hadn't been mowed. The same could be said about the most of the fairways also. I always liked this course but after this experience I'm not likely to return I always enjoyed playing here and returned last year(2024) after the new management took over and I'm happy to say that they did what they said. The course was back to it's original condition and very playable again. I will be visiting the course again this year.

Played the front 9. First time here. The course was in nice shape. Greens aerated so I used that as an excuse for no hole in one. Lol. Ate at the clubhouse. Lovely inside, had a turkey BLT wrap and fries. Very tasty and a soda. Reasonable price. Would recommend a round there.

Definitely love Sycamore Country Club and all the new changes in the Clubhouse. Well maintained course with great food and staff. Course has a great layout with a few sneakily difficult holes. Highly recommend and would rate this as an above average public course.
