In summary

Sugar Ridge Golf Club is appreciated for its beautiful and challenging course layout, featuring hilly terrain and scenic views, which many golfers find enjoyable and well-maintained. However, several visitors have raised concerns about the slow pace of play and scheduling issues, which can lead to extended rounds. While the staff is generally described as friendly, some guests have experienced inconsistencies in service and course management.

Golf course was beautiful. Proshop and “bar” are a little lacking but not there for that. Weirdest part was how the guys checking me in were. They weren’t rude or mean but the feeling was odd. Almost like they didn’t want me there because I wasn’t part of their “group”. Again they were all nice it was just the “vibe” in the air. Mentioned it to the group I got randomly paired with (something I actually enjoy unlike most people) and they said that is pretty standard and they hear that from lots of golfers new to the course. Definitely will go back. I always try to give businesses at least thr…

First time going to this course last week. The layout was challenging but still fun. The terrain was something I've never seen before, hills that look like valleys and so much open space. Amazing placement for the tee spots and greens. Some of the best scenery I've seen on a course. Definitely recommend this course for a single player or a large group.

It's not a bad course but it could definitely use some attention and etiquette. The tee boxes are in rough shape. They have to many bare spots and are in need of seeding. Now, I'm used to tee boxes riddled with broken tees and that's fine to a degree, it happens but they also have a lot of cigarette butts. It's fine if people smoke on the course, I don't take issue with that but for goodness sake have some decorum and etiquette and don't throw you cigarette butts in the tee box. The pace of play is abysmal. The way they stack the players and tee times is nothing short of an obvious money maki…

Unfortunately, they gave us a tee time of 11:51 and a large outing was right in front of us. We didn’t actually tee off until probably 1245p. I’m not sure how frequently they schedule tee-times, but it took us 3 1/2 hours to play the front 9. We had paid for 18 but left after the 14th hole. The Rangers could not do anything about the speed of play or they chose not to. Beautiful course though! Cart-paths are very rough, but gorgeous scenery through nice neighborhoods. Five stars if not for the botched scheduling and rough cart paths.

Wasn't a bad place to play for the price, and had some nice views along the way. We played on a 74 degree day in February, so wasn't expecting amazing course conditions, but they definitely could have been better. I feel as this course has a hard time draining, which makes for really swampy & wet conditions in certain areas. Greens were recently aerated, which most courses usually do that in late fall, so it made putting difficult. Tee boxes were missing the 'Boxes' except the Blue tees. Cart paths were pretty rough & the fairways were dead yellow grass, and super thin.

Get ready for a long round. Some of the slowest play ive ever experienced. Would not recommend.

Drove into the parking lot to see ten plus carts waiting to tee off on the 1st hole. The staff at the pro shop said there was a fifteen minute delay, and would not offer a rain check or refund. Forty minutes after my tee time, we started our round. Employees roam around the course with Ranger written on their cart but do nothing to control pace of play. With the exception of the pleasant woman in the snack bar, all employees I encountered were clueless, indifferent, or both. After six hours, quit on hole number fifteen. My foursome will not be returning.

Expect 6+ hour round, no starter or rangers to keep place of play. Pro shop guys don’t help by taking all day to check you in/out. Would give ZERO stars if possible.

Nice golf course in Indiana near Cincinnati, Ohio. Course challenges your control of shots from tee to green. The course is hilly and has great views. Good value and recommended!

Course is in great shape. Enjoyed playing until the 7th hole. Long par 5 with an extra long back up. Our foursome finished nine holes and called it a day. GPS in our cart said it’s going to be a 61/2 hour round.

Very rude. Never had an issue with me riding in the cart with my boyfriend at any other course. We were told that I could not join and when my boyfriend gave other options like paying for an extra cart or walking behind the man in the pro shop denied both and said they don’t allow walkers. Very disappointing when we’ve played better golf courses and have never had an issue. Also, we have played here before and it wasn’t an issue for me to ride along then.
