In summary

Stonington Country Club is frequently praised for its beautiful and well-maintained course, accommodating layout suitable for all skill levels, and comprehensive practice facilities. Members and visitors appreciate the friendly atmosphere, welcoming staff, and the convenience of a no tee-time policy, although some find this approach challenging during busy periods. While the club receives high marks for its amenities and recent clubhouse renovations, there is criticism regarding the lack of water availability on the course during hot weather.

Played an 18 Hole tournament today with the CT Am Tour. Course was very good, very playable. I have played there in the past, it is a great golf course, as expected. Problem: It was an 85F deg day, lots of sun, no water anywhere on the course. Every watering station was empty. Not empty of water, empty of any signs there was ever water offered. To be clear, it wasn't that they ran out of water, they never put any out, anywhere, period. I asked the beverage cart operator why there was no water, she said "they know"; and I could by water from her for $4. I'm not cheap, and I did buy water fro…

Solid track, the new clubhouse renovations are sweet though. The 1st, 3rd, 8th, 10th, 15th and 18th holes are standouts. The greens are fast and the sand traps are pure.

As a member now for 2 years we couldn't be more pleased. The course is beautiful, interesting and always in great condition. Ready golf means no need for tee times, just come and play, when we joined I wasn't sure how this would work but it does and it works well. The membership is friendly and welcoming. I recommend it highly.

I enjoy the golf course layout and course condition. Most of all I can use the driving range, chipping, and putting area before going out and playing just a few holes on my own or rounds with friends. Really friendly club where you can walk and play.

So much fun! Great course and practice facilities. Everyone is so nice. It's like being away on vacation every time my wife and I pull into the club.

SCC provides a course, driving range, chipping and putting greens that are well suited for both accomplished golfers and newer golfers (like me!), golf instruction, and a lovely clubhouse in a beautiful country setting. The clubhouse and bar is perfect for lunch, dinner, or just a cocktail in the bar. Members and staff have been very welcoming to me. Special social events are ramping up so fun is most definitely in the air! Our Jimmy Buffett event this month was great fun and a sellout!

Great course and a great atmosphere. The layout of the course is great for all skill levels, it always seems to be in excellent shape and you can tee off at virtually any time.

Not ready golf. Not customer focus and different members get treated different depending on how long you have been a member The no tee times concept sounds good but in reality it doesn’t work when course is busy and the number of “events” are staggering. Example is Monday pm cours closed for turnament and people show up when cours opens at 10 am instead of reg time to try to play a round or Wednesday when course pretty much is closed since women and men’s leagues are same day. Forget fair play the hc committee doesn’t address blatant cheating nor does Club pro Update 2022: New management new…
