In summary

St. James Club is frequently praised for its well-maintained greens, friendly staff, and good value for money, with many visitors enjoying the course layout and overall atmosphere. However, some guests have expressed concerns about the condition of the fairways, slow pace of play, and occasional unprofessional interactions with staff. While the course receives high marks for its affordability and welcoming environment, there are occasional reports of inconsistent course maintenance and service issues.

Played there today. Greens are excellent, fast, and true. Fairways grass needs some rain but otherwise are fine. I am told there has been a lack of rain for weeks. Well worth the $59 I paid to play. Definitely going back.

Had the pleasure of playing St. James this past week. Course was in great shape, the green's fees are an outstanding value. The staff was warm, friendly and inviting. Club pro came out to say hello as we were having lunch. Can't say enough great things about this course and the people. A+++

Betty and I love everything about St James from checkin (inside & out) to the course layout and conditions. The greens are outstanding. We appreciate the owner and his sons for treating us like royalty😀. We consider St James our home course and have a great time when we play. Thanks for making us feel at home!

We played on Wednesday, Feb 25th. Tee time was 11. We warmed up on the driving range that was basically bare ground. On the course, tee boxes were well maintained; the fairways were brown, dried out terrain; the greens varied from lightning fast to mysteriously slow. Pace of play was satisfactory . Greens fees were $70. Vastly overpriced and overrated. Gouging the snowbirds and not watering the fairways and then having the audacity to charge that much is an insult to locals.

Nice course. Well kept greens and fairways. Rained the day prior but that’s out of the courses’ control. It was a hot day and they have water at every few holes so you can hydrate, between beers too. Very affordable to what I was paying up north. Friendly staff. Young kid when cleaned off all clubs when we finished up.

This course is extremely poor. It is run into the ground by some of the worst staff I've ever come across. The cart boy called my friend, who was visiting from Canada, trailer trash because he didn't give a tip when receiving the cart at the start of his round. Then he stopped our foursome after hole 17 at 5:30, still plenty of day light would not let us complete the last hole. When I questioned him he threatened to fight me, yes physically fight me. The course itself is in horrible shape, one hole had a flag in the fairway instead of the green. The carts are slow and aged. Bartender was nice…

Nice course and good rates in the off season. The course has improved over the last few years. It still has some work before I will pay full price during the winter. The employees are great.

I love this place. I think I spend more time here than at home. Staff is amazing, from the owner to his kids. All the cart guys and grounds people are super friendly. The inside staff are always welcoming and go out of there way to help you enjoy your time. The greens are some of the best around and the course is always in good shape. For the money, I promise you, nothing in PSL beats the place. Give it a try, you won't regret it.

Just finished around with 3 friends. I have nothing but good things to say about this place. The guy tending the carts was very friendly and professional. The guy inside club house very friendly also. The course was in good shape. The fairways were good. The greens were in great shape very green and true. We played two other courses this past week payed a lot more at one of them and it was no where as good as this. Definitely will be back. Thank you staff for such a good round.

We played six holes in just under three hours due to significant delays, beginning with an extremely backed-up tee time. The course itself was poorly maintained, with unkempt grass and overall subpar conditions. The pace of play was unbearably slow, making the experience unenjoyable to the point that our group ultimately decided to leave mid-round. Our group regularly plays courses across South and Central Florida, even during peak season, and our experiences elsewhere have consistently been far superior. It was particularly disappointing that after driving nearly an hour to play here, our co…

Unfortunately won’t be returning. Living right around the corner from this golf course it’s always been my go to. After a year break from golf (hard getting away with an infant) I returned with a 3 other dads who play frequently. Our tee off time was 10:08; we were delayed 25 mins to begin with due to a 3 some and a 4 some on 1. (Not unusual considering the time of year). The entire front 9 we waited to tee off just about every hole and still played at about a 2 hour pace (probably just under)…. Which I feel was pretty typical. On hole 9 we waited for the 4 some ahead of us to clear the green…
