In summary

Scott County Park & Golf is praised for its breathtaking mountain scenery, well-maintained course, and friendly staff. The course's challenging layout, with its steep hills and narrow fairways, is appreciated by experienced golfers but can be difficult for beginners, who may find themselves losing balls. The park also offers excellent amenities for events and family outings, although some visitors have noted the need for better maintenance around the picnic shelters.

Beautiful scenery. An almost impossible course extremely hilly with very limited landing areas for your shot. If you were off by 10 feet your ball would roll 50 yards into the woods. The greens were in decent shape but you better be able to land your drive in a 20 yard circle or it’s out of bounds. Maybe with some rain and rough growth it would help.

Rented the clubhouse , event hall for a special occasion/birthday party. Extremely nice hall for $100.00 for the entire evening. Has all the modern conviences needed for serving or prepari g food , tables and chairs , full kitchen. A gas fire place. A great place to have a a memorable occasion all surrounded by breath taking scenery. Also must mention the golf course itself is kept emachulate. A must for a great time in Scott County , VA.

Of clover - It could use more. It offers at least some value to pollinators! Peaceful scenery on a foggy January afternoon. It's so big, vast There could be room for sun loving native wildflowers and grasses.

This is my home course. I grew up playing here and played here in high school for Gate City. It's in the best shape it's ever been in currently!!! The greens have always been pristine but now there are actual fairways. The rough can be deep and penalizes you appropriately for errant shots. The staff is very helpful and are a great group of guys.

Love this hometown place. Only thing is the shelters are very dirty. Each shelter has a name on top. Maybe they could send someone out to clean around shelters. An people could take off there own trash. I took mine an who had been there before me. A mess. Park has been there a long time.lets keep it clean. Great place to bring your grandkids an family..just need a little TLC.

Hard course for a beginner golfer but a very nice course. Greens were very good. If you slice the ball like I do you will never find it. So if you are a beginner golfer you are going to lose a few balls on the course. But overall nice course and will definitely play again.
