In summary

Riverlands Golf & Country Club receives praise for its friendly staff, welcoming atmosphere, and enjoyable layout, with some visitors appreciating the well-groomed fairways and good course condition. However, there are recurring criticisms regarding the uneven greens, cleanliness issues, and the behavior of a particular Marshall, which some feel affects the overall golfing experience. Additionally, the pool area has been noted for needing better maintenance and cleanliness.

Friendly staff but that’s basically where the positives end. Visiting and in need of rentals, the available bags were made up of leftover clubs from the lost and found. The tee blocks were not cut and greens effectively unplayable with uneven grass and large holes haphazardly filled with sand. Pace of play suffered as a result due to the greens. Would not recommend a round here if you’re looking to enjoy golf. Price was steep for quality at $49/round. Bunkers were empty, bathrooms out of service at the clubhouse.

Course was in horrible condition. $50 on a Wednesday was entirely too much for the shape that course was in. Vacant lots have better fairways. Greens had pot holes in places. Literally watching your ball bounce in another direction away from the hole after putting. Save your money. Go to Belle Terre.

We paid for pool membership this summer for the first time and won’t be returning. There constantly trash left all over the place, chairs and loungers are damaged and the pool is disgusting. I’ve never had an eye infection in my life, and I’ve had 2 this summer which is almost certainly from the filth floating in the water. Disgusting

The community of people here is lovely. I only give 3 stars because they never have range balls available and the inside of the golf club is dirty all the time. Also, they turn the sprinklers on the greens in the middle of the day sometimes and it’s rude to the golfers. They just need to make these improvements and it’ll be a great golf course because the people and staff are awesome.

My family, who is visiting NOLA, felt super anxious and stressed because of the Marshall named ‘Jay.’ He followed and watched us play for 70% of the holes. Jay blamed us for backing up the rounds and kept rushing us to play quicker…even if there were groups ahead of us. He really put us down in a bad mood so we ended our round early and left. We wish we could’ve enjoyed our time golfing, especially over the holidays. The course is also very low on golf carts so we had to wait 20-minutes to start our round. The staff at the check-in are nice though. I would really recommend others to weigh the…

The staff was friendly, however, the Marshall “Jay” was the opposite. He followed my parents, my wife, and I around closely for multiple holes complaining we were holding people up when we were playing well within the pace of play. It made us very anxious and made the round not enjoyable. No one came to ask us to play through. We were even waiting for people ahead of us at some point. He was very rude about it.

Played NOGA Monday..this is a FUN course that is in really good shape..keep ball in play and you can score..keep your ball below the hole and you can putt..if there were any issues, directions to the holes to be played are sorely needed and 'T' markers are very confusing..there were multiple colored cones on the same 'T' area..this is not a deal breaker just constructive criticism..I enjoyed the course immensely..CaptKirk @ Bayou Barriere Golf Course..thanks, guys, for a good time!!!
