In summary

Raccoon Hill Golf Club receives praise for its recent improvements, particularly in course maintenance and staff friendliness. The course offers a mix of challenges with its unique layout, although some find the back nine's design peculiar. While many appreciate the value and overall experience, there are occasional concerns about the pace of play, inconsistent course conditions, and booking policies for single players.

Updated: end of 2024 The course is making great improvements. Level, new tee boxes, tree clean up, maintenance of course is better than previous years. Course looks to be in the best condition I’ve seen in over a decade. Well done. Staff always nice. The course can play very wet. Many golfers prefer the front nine, compared to back. The course does not feature a fantastic layout, however as stated earlier the staff has made nice improvements. Northeast Ohio is losing courses at a high rate, for the value Raccoon Hill has definitely improved - especially their greens.

Best golf course around!! And the food…. AMAZING!! Anything you order you will love. The greens and the tee boxes look fabulous. The club house and restrooms also recently remodeled and redone. You can tell there has been a tremendous amount of work put into this place. Bravo!! Highly recommend

The course has came a long way in the past few years, with lots of continuous improvements. Also currently renovating the clubhouse, and purchased new carts. The course is also ran by awesome people, and Jason, the manager is an awesome guy. The course has some quirky holes mainly on the back9 and the layout isn’t for everyone, but offers a unique challenge that you don’t see on many other courses.

Course is in solid condition. The front nine and the back nine are two completely different courses in design. Overall, it was an easy course with space on the wide right and left. Some tricky holes. Solid pro shop with good merchandise. Hole hole 13 is a par 5 and was 500 yards. It is the worst designed hole ever. With a tee shot going straight around 160 yards. Then, a sharp corner left and another 160-yard shot, then a shallow corner right to hit on the green. The next hole is almost the same with a sharp turn. The back nine holes 13-16 are poorly designed.

Nice friendly staff. The course was in good shape better than it has been in a long time and it was wet but in great shape. They still have a cart girl amazing love that!!! Totally would recommend to friends and family and golfers of all handicaps this course is very fun and nicely laid out.

Went golfing at Raccoon Hill on a wet morning. Our group was told cart path only unless there wasn’t a cart path to drive on. We did pretty well about following the rules, but we were a younger group with a target on our backs. A worker drives by and tells us to get on the cart path even though there was no cart path to be on, so we were staying in line with the cart path or in the fairway. The worker stays close and prepares for us to make a mistake. While trying to make our way back on to the cart path, we skid. He calls the owner and tells him we were “doing donuts.” We get kicked off, and…

Weird layout. I have never played a par 5 with only irons before. The cart paths are in awful shape. The course is fine, maybe a little more than I would like to pay but whatever. The clubhouse food is expensive, with a hot dog at $5.25, it was a very good hot dog though. Played it, but nothing really made me want to come back to play again

This course is a good play at a decent price. Challenging layout but very scorable if you make reasonable shots. Enjoyed it every time I have played there. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Well I just started back golfing after 7 yrs. And I think the staff is very friendly and the course is in pretty nice shape. I can't speak for years prior, but I think they are doing a fine job out there. Ps. The lady behind the bar, is very sweet.

This place was never great, but had a fun layout, and was in ok shape. Now it's just complete garbage. Half the bunkers have no sand. The greens are as inconsistent as anything I've ever seen. Temporary tees on holes are placed in the rough in 3 inch high grass! They couldn't even take the time to mow it somewhat short! Clearly the owners of this place have no morals whatsoever, charging $49 on the weekend for this dog track is a joke!
