In summary

Quicksilver Golf Club is highly praised for its well-maintained course, challenging layout, and friendly staff, making it a top choice in the Pittsburgh area. The course offers a variety of practice facilities and scenic views, contributing to an enjoyable golfing experience. However, some visitors have noted issues with slow pace of play and occasional staff attitude, as well as a desire for more spaced-out tee times and additional on-course amenities like water stations and restrooms.

Quicksilver is in my top five in the Pittsburgh metropolitan area. The golf shop staff are incredibly helpful, efficient, and kind. The golf course has a great driving range, sweet chipping area, and a nice putting green if you want to get warmed up before your match. And trust me you want to get warmed up. This course is long and very challenging. The greens are lightning fast, and the hills make for a very complicated round. Number nine has owned me every time I played here yeah I'm still determined to get the better of it. The starter is the great guy to very competent and good at what he d…

Beautifully maintained course. Challenging but not unfair. Very friendly staff. Reasonable prices. This will definitely be a go-to course for me going forward!

If looking for a challenging round at a fair price, Quicksilver is a fit for you. There are plenty of opportunities to score or post a big number if not on your game. The course itself on July 2nd, 2025 was in very good shape considering all the rain the past few weeks. There were a few wet spots in low areas. The greens were a bit soft, but it made holding approach shots easier, and you need all the help you can get with the undulation on them. The greens rolled very well. Service in the pro shop, by the starter, and in the pub were all good. However, one worker decided to drive right past…

Open course and tough greens. Close to PIT and pretty reasonably priced. It was over a 5 hour round with upwards of 4 groups on 1 hole/tee box at times, but is understandable with the price and being a public course on a weekend. Would pay $10-20 extra to have the tee times spread out on weekends and also would’ve grabbed lunch afterwards but the pub is closed on Sunday?

Originally from the area and back on a visit. Played with a friend from Texas. Lush fairways and greens. Very nice layout with great approach views of the clubhouse. Staff very friendly. Pace of play for a Saturday morning was good. This is a country club level course open to the public. Take advantage to try it out.

Quicksilver is a fun layout. Open and friendly off the tee, but uneven second shots and fast, smooth greens can make it difficult. First time playing, very difficult with blind tee shots and not knowing what greens look like. Pace of play was good on a Monday morning. Course is terrific condition, especially the greens. Hope to be back soon.

Beautiful course with extremely challenging greens. The only downside was getting yelled at for entering the pub in my attempt to locate a restroom after playing 18. Maybe add signage for the locker rooms or at least be kind when someone is lost. Overall a nice course to play. When I came out to my car someone had hit my mirror. Ugh.. Beautiful day though so staying positive!

A lovely day out not too far from Pittsburgh. Immaculate and impossibly difficult greens, interesting layout and course configuration. The Srixon rental clubs were pretty good too, could have used more than one wedge though!

Well maintained, fun course. Can be difficult sometimes depending on weather conditions and speed of greens. The pace of play is horrendous. There is no ranger to keep pace of play moving. Expect a 5.5 to 6 hour round and waiting at least 5-8 minutes on every tee box.

Played the course on a wet Sunday, 6/15 and I'm not sure where the reviewer got the impression that the staff/managements were snobs. The people I interacted with were very courteous and friendly. The starter actually got our group out a bit early which was great. The course is fair but challenging. The uneven lies create a needed focus on every shot. On this particular day, the ground were wet but were still allowed to go out on carts and not just stay on cart path only but 90 degrees in the fairways. I can't imagine playing this course by cart path only. You'd have to be a billy goat to get…

Course was in great shape. Driving range, separate putt only and chipping practice greens(practice bunkers as well!). Greens were very fast and smooth. The only downside was the round took 5 hours. I think the course should switch to 12-15 min tee times over 10 min. Just too many people in the course

I’m from out of town and it was late in the day. The course is amazing. I appreciate the very kind workers for making it possible for me to get out there quick to try to get 18 in which I did end up doing but all the staff was very nice. The greens were nice. The fairways were nice. The views were amazing. The only critique I have is it was me in a group of two in front of me and I was trying to bust my butt to get done before dark and I was pushing those two. They should’ve been kind enough to just let me through from what I understand their locals or members but it’s all right because I didn…
