Flew into town for a Steelers game and had some extra time so I ended up playing 2 rounds of golf Oct 25. I was on a football trip not a golf trip so I showed up with nothing but a glove and the staff treaded me great. The rental clubs were newer and pretty nice sim 2's and the course was in great shape minus the par 3 tee boxes. The greens were so fast, if you were above the hole you better drop it or it's probably rolling off. The elevation on the course was so fun for a guy who flew in from Florida. I would absolutely recommend this course to anyone in the area.

If you’re looking for a private club feel with public pricing look no further! After reading some reviews that were not so positive (first time playing this course) I took it upon myself to inspect hickory heights for all it was worth and to my surprise it exceeded all of my expectations. From the amusing layout to the rolling fairways you’re bound to have an outstanding round of golf. Bunkers are great and the greens roll pure. You can really tell the hard work the grounds crew is putting in and the updates that are soon to come. It is my impression that they are trying to become one of the t…

70 bucks must all go towards the carts. Greens are rock hard, fairway has dirt mounds deep puddles and plywood everywhere, most tee boxes are destroyed. Even a lot of the houses around are very unkept. Edit: tried to play an early morning solo round for some nice solo time. They refuse to allow solo riders. Tee times completely wide open all morning and afternoon on a Wednesday. You’d think a half failing course that doesn’t fill times would want the business. Must have tight margins on those carts.

Used to be a nice course, and cheaper. The tee boxes are torn up. The ones they are trying to repair are loaded with crabgrass. I paid $72.10 with credit card fee. Worth $40. Greens are fine, bunkers are OK, except for the crabgrass growing around and in them. As the economy slows and the bad reviews keep rolling in, this will get easier and easier to get on to. I'll re-evaluate in 3 years, and if it's cheaper and better maintained, I'll play it again.

This course is in pretty rough shape for a year with a ton of rain. Some spotty fairways. Tee boxes are destroyed. Not worth what they’re asking. I think $50 is fair for a weekend round here.

It is a shame as it could be a great place to play. Played there yesterday, the tee boxes were atrocious, most had no more than 50% grass with the grass mostly weeds, some were almost all sand. I don't know how it could happen but our cart's GPS was 20-30 off yards, found that out the hard way. Lastly and most important the starter has an attitude. He watched the foresome in front us tee off and the last one off was a woman who had a terrible shot - he immediately yelled at them to watch their pace of play, she ran to pick up her ball. That is not how you should treat people. You get all that…

Great course. Don’t listen to Ian Ramsay below. We were the “6” playing ahead of him. Only 4 of us were playing. The dude was miserable and is a terrible shot. Biden could do better.

This place rocks ! Friendly people, fun atmosphere. Challenging golf course with pool table-esque greens. I will be returning to Hickory Heights the next time I’m in Allegheny County!

Well it's a shame to see what was once a great course have tee boxes that look like they're preparing for a corn harvest or pumpkin harvest for Halloween in 2 months. I've lived in the area most of my life and even used to buy summer memberships for highschoolers for about $250 where you could play as much as you wanted in mid 2000's and not sure who's running it now but definitely a major decline of late when one would think with the increase in green fees, it would be better. Hopefully they have a good harvest and can reinvest to put some money into the course because it's dying. Or sell it…
