In summary

Mount Lebanon Golf Course is appreciated for its well-maintained greens, reasonable rates, and friendly staff, making it a valued community asset in Pittsburgh's South Hills. The course's challenging layout, due to its hilly terrain and narrow fairways, is noted as both a highlight and a point of contention. However, some players express frustration with the high grass in the rough and under trees, which can make play difficult and lead to lost balls.

Played here during Draft Weekend. Overall impressed with the course. Challenging little 9 hole course. Rough is thick, greens were nice. Would recommend.

This golf course has become unbearable. A municipal course is supposed to encourage players to come out and play golf, learn the game, and get better. The green keeper here has decided to make it harder than the US Open. Good luck hitting a green and sticking it.. when you roll off you’ll either be met by 4 inches of crab grass that your ball will rest against, or on top off. Making an incredibly hard next shot. Getting better at short yardage game here is impossible. Many holes have fescue higher than your waist 10 yards off of the fairway. There is zero forgiveness. And just makes you wish…

The condition of the course was great especially for the price. It was the right level of difficulty that 9 holes was entertaining. It is a Pittsburgh course though, so the hills get crazy.

Mt Lebanon Golf Course is a fantastic community 9 hole golf course located in the heart of Pittsburgh's South Hills. It is well maintained and challenging without being overwhelming! Ive been playing there for 25+ years and enjoy it (almost) every time! :) Highly recommended!

The price is unbeatable, greens are nice, but the course itself is really difficult. Always ho for a challenge though. Sure there are better courses but Mt Lebanon GC will always hold a special place in my heart.

A challenging course because of the hills that absolutely falls off a cliff with the high grass everywhere - its bad enough there's no second cut off the fairways, but foot-and-a-half tall grass under all the trees is an absolute disaster. Any shot that isn't on the fairway may be completely lost, constantly slowing pace of play. The fairways & greens are in much better shape than years prior, but at the cost of the double jeopardy of tall grass under trees. Otherwise, the facilities & clubhouse staff are good, and scheduling a round is easy. Just cut the grass, and be the excellent municipal…

Played Mt. Lebanon Golf course today and I was surprised that it was in better condition than a lot of courses I’ve played this season. The fairways were better, rough cut. Greens were great, really rolled nice and held shots. Several workers working on traps. Pro shop staff always very nice. Prices are also cheaper than others. Looking forward to more play this fall.

I will start with the clubhouse guys are good guys. The greens are hard/not receptive but in good condition. The fairways are a good height. Then it goes down hill, like most of the fairways. 1. Every tee box is humped or slanted. It’s impossible to repeat a driver swing when each tee box has a different lie angle. 2. Fairways are incredibly narrow for the slopes. While they are a good grass height, with being so narrow, there isn’t a way to land on over half of them without kicking into the rough or worse. There is no second cut of fairway. It goes from fairway to 3 inch rough. 3. Last but mo…

I'm really disappointed in the changes recently made to the course. The rough is now a foot tall throughout the course, making average players immediately and permanently lose their balls on barely errant shots. If management is trying to appeal only to excellent players (foolhardy because the rest of the course will never appeal to the elite), it will lose all the rest of us duffers: residents (and taxpayers) who have been enjoying the course several times a year for 20 years. Please return to the prior grounds plan, and reimburse me for 5 golf balls.

I came here to enjoy a round of golf and left feeling disrespected. I parked my e-bike out of the way after paying for my round, and partway through my game, an employee came out and started aggressively telling me it was illegal and unsafe—despite me calmly explaining that four police officers had told me it was completely fine. He didn’t listen and kept coming at me, even saying he wouldn’t be responsible if I got hurt. That’s bad enough, but then I find out he was talking about me to other people, saying “I don’t know how he’s gonna get that home,” which felt like a threat. I’m a kid who…

After 20+ years of not playing, and just getting back into the game this year, today was the first time played at Mt. Lebanon. This is a great 9 hole municipal course. Very well taken care of from the tee boxes, to fairways to the greens. The gentleman working this morning (and maybe the owner) was the most pleasant gentlemen around. Being first time playing there walked us around course layout prior to going off. As well gave us a history lesson on the course. Like I said, great guy. You can tell they value those who play here for sure. Will most definitely make this course a part of our norm…
