In summary

Prairie Trace Golf Club offers a challenging layout with a scenic setting, appreciated by many for its convenience and the option to play without booking in advance. However, several visitors have raised concerns about the course's maintenance, citing issues with fairways and greens, as well as inconsistent customer service experiences. Access is limited to those with military ID, and some have noted dissatisfaction with the pricing and management of tee times.

I took my 16 yr old Grandson to Prairie Trace golf course today to play the 9 hole course. He has been there several times with his father to play and was never charged as long as he walked. When I asked how much the unfriendly counter guy told me it was 50.00 for both of us (green fees of 15.00 and cart fee of 10.00) even though I specifically told him my grandson would be walking. Their policy is juniors are not required to pay up to and including 16yrs. old.when I questioned him about that he said they have to pay if they are 16. Then he also charged a cart fee. When I asked for a receipt h…

For a beginner golf player like myself, it is a good and challenging 9 hole golf course, separate from the 18-hole course. You do need a military ID in order to get on to the WPAF base or go with someone who does.

Prairie Trace West is a challenging and fun course with trees everywhere. Problem is it’s not kept up very well. Tee boxes are uneven with weeds, fairways are in rough shape if you want to call em that, some of the greens are being overtaken by fungus and will be dead if they don’t do something about it, and bushes and shrubs that would normally be cut or removed are left to overgrow. For a MAJOM base, some of the amenities are disappointing and this is one of them. In my opinion, one of the worst kept DoD courses I’ve played on. Should cost 20 bucks with cart at most.

Wow, what a golf ⛳ the beautiful landscape, the rolling hills and the par 3 16th hole is situated over a large pond. There are two new holes that crisscross a meandering river that challenges even the best of the low handicappers. However due to world circumstances this course is only open to base personnel.

The greens, fairways, and tee boxes were very clearly NOT kept up with in any way. Cheap par 3 courses are better to play on. Way overpriced considering its the worst course ive ever played on. Oh and the staff are terribly rude and slow. Dont waste your time here

I played a round here recently and had high expectations as the course is on WPAFB. Clearly I should’ve done more research. Large portions of the fairways were just dirt, and the greens weren’t much better. When you pair that with the rude staff, this place just isn’t worth it. Don’t waste your time or money here.

Tried golfing on base for the first time today. Took my son, thinking we would get a membership so I could play with my kids while they are in college. Showed up to the first tee 15 minutes early. A guy with a group teeing off 30 minutes after us told us that he and his group were very good golfers, and we would have to hurry and stay out of their way. By the 4th hole, a different member behind us nearly hit me with his golf cart. He asked if anyone in my group was wearing baseball spikes, because we were “tearing up his golf course” and we “don’t belong there”. He put his hands on me. My so…

Called ahead to get a tee time and was told I could not get one because I was a single. Showed up this AM AT 0915 at the course to get out on the course and was told there was no openings until after 1100. Why can’t I get a tee time and if they have a group less than four going out play with that group and the course gets the tee time back? There are always walk ins and they could make more money. Because the person behind the desk can’t multitask, I have to waste a portion of my day waiting. Thanks for your GREAT customer service.

Great place to meet friends for 9 or 18 holes. All the staff including the ground crew techs are inviting, polite and friendly. Make it a point to play at least 3 time a week either at Twin Base or Prairie Trace.

I've always enjoyed playing here. Well kept course. Bonus is your 4 legged playing partners.

East course with 9 holes is operated first come first serve. It's so convenient for practice play that you don't need to book it and you can play alone.

The daily operations about basic functions should be followed with the customers in mind. The pool usage is understaffed, and the wings restaurant should have posted hours of operations. The golf shop restaurant fryers isn't working. This is The United States airforce. So, act like it.
