In summary

Northmoor Golf on the Lake is appreciated for its scenic location by the lake, friendly staff, and affordable pricing, offering a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The course is noted for its charm and history, with some golfers enjoying its straightforward layout and the opportunity for tournaments. However, there are consistent concerns about maintenance issues, such as poor cart paths, dry greens, and occasional overcrowding, which can affect the overall experience.

Small and a little beat up, but right on the lake and a fun design. Open year round regardless of the weather and very affordable. Clubhouse staff has always been nice when I have gone here. Course can get waterlogged after a rain storm and some of the greens will flood and/ or have standing water on them - the green on hole #1 in particular.

Course in bad shape. Cart paths a terrible. Letting kids run wild all over the place. Tee times do not matter. Could be a beautiful course with the right management. People on greens in cowboy boots. Tee boxes are terrible

Golfed July 6th, 2025 morning. Course was in awful shape. $37 for 18 and a cart was unjustified. Dead, bare spots all over the course. Greens as hard as cement. Way overpriced.

Has definately improved since I started playing there. Was a bit under manicured 5-8 years ago. Good golf feel. Nice views with lake. Relaxed play. Everyone super friendly. Walk into club house n feel like local reunion vibe. I don’t even know anybody out there but I have never felt shunned like at some other clubs.

Must have golfed there on a bad day. Course was trashed. Clubhouse smelled like the Bada Bing Club. Pretty easy course. We were surprised it was so dry being right next to a huge lake. My tee shots are still rolling.... *Update* Golfed there for the first time this year on 3/29/24. Course itself was in good condition for only $20 for 18 w/cart. Porta Potty's were awful, tee boxes and greens were in decent shape. Clubhouse still looks and smells like something in Jersey City. **2025 Update** Just know if you book a tee time on a Saturday in July....they will let anyone golf who just shows u…

One of the worst courses I’ve ever played. No tee time reservations, people piled up at every hole (on a weekday), poorly kept course, cart path is terrible, golf carts are junk. Wouldn’t golf here again.

Northmoor is in a small town/vacation area on a large lake. This is a nice compact little course with some surprisingly holes. The course was in good condition overall even though I saw many areas marked for repair. The greens were in nice shape but a bit long when I played. The staff was courteous and the price was very reasonable. I did not engage food service in my visit. For a quick game on a flat, fun course I would recommend Northmoor.

A very friendly staff on the course and in the club house! A great course and a spectacular lake view on hole 5! Love playing this course! Also they always have a tournament to play don’t hesitate to sign up or host your own tournament!

This golf course is pretty much weedless, greens rolling nice, always mowed, but looking over gramd lake st marys is my favorite feature. Has reaaly improved over the years. $2 beers still. And very friendly staff. Give it a chance, you will like it, and green fees are cheapest around.

This a good course for a budget price. I walked 18 holes for $20. The maintenance is a little lacking. The greens are kinda rough and very dry. The water hazards are kinda dirty. For the price it's a great option for someone looking to just get out and play. I come here whenever I'm in town.

Went to this course for the first time today. Absolutely loved it. Right on the lake, met the owner she had a coffee, I had a beer! The course will be 100 years old next year and she filled me in on the history. It’s not a country club, it’s welcoming and I fell in love with the charm of the course and clubhouse!

Good quality for the price. Challenging enough to keep your attention but not so challenging that you can't score. Right on the lake. Cheap drinks. Laid back atmosphere. Open to the public.
