For such a small community, this is a decent location. Certain upgrades and improvements would better the experience, and increase the rating. Check it out for yourself and see what you think!

This is the oldest continuously played course in the US apparently, but should it be? This is the remains of a golf course. There are 9 holes and you can vary the tee boxes slightly to pretend it is an 18 hole course but that is far from the biggest issue. The greens are brown, scalped flat circles. It is impossible to predict which root you need to bounce it off to make a putt over 3 feet. The traps are grown over with weeds. The fairways and rough are weed infested, ant riddled mine fields. You can generally see where you are supposed to hit it but there is no reward for doing so. The best t…

I’ve played a lot of courses, but this one was honestly a disappointment. The fairways were in such rough shape, it felt like I was just hitting balls in my own backyard. Patchy, uneven grass, bare spots eveyrwhere. For the price, I expected at least some playable conditions — but it was more like a forgotten pasture than a golf course. Won’t be coming back, and I wouldn’t recommend it unless you enjoy hitting off dirt and weeds. --- Want to name the course or keep it generic? I can tailor it further if you like.

As I write this review, I need to clarify that I am only sharing my perspective on the golf course itself. The people at the clubhouse were welcoming and kind. However, the course itself was likely the worst I have ever played. I would liken it to playing in my backyard growing up where clover and crabgrass were common. This is what the fairways were like. The greens were apparently recently redone; however, they were brown, in dire need of water, and were so rough I had to laugh when trying to putt. This is a 9 hole course. Originally, I wanted to play 18, but it was such a bad course, I quit…

Always a great time at the country club! Ronnie Cox and Terry Whited are the best! Jerry Shoffner, the golf pro, is always helpful as well. The most friendly golf course in the area!

I just upped my rating from previous year to a four star. Lots of improvements in the clubhouse and on the course. If the greens come in like it looks like they will, I will update to 5 stars
