In summary

Mallards Landing Golf Course, now known as Harbor City Golf Course, is praised for its well-maintained greens and friendly staff, offering great value for the price. The course is considered suitable for beginners and average players, with a straightforward layout and minimal water hazards. However, some visitors have noted issues with the fairways, tee boxes, and pace of play, as well as occasional maintenance concerns on the driving range and putting greens.

Great course for the price, but not perfect. New carts are a plus, until they beep at you for leaving certain designated areas. Greens are above average, but pin placements last round were ridiculous. Fairways are so-so, but better now that we are getting rain daily. Clubhouse opens late, so don't plan on any breakfast. Driving range is nice and practice putting green is sizeable and next to 1st hold tee box. Good for beginners and average players, with not a ton of water.

Greens are in great shape. Rest of the course is spotty. Place of play was slow. Great staff though.

The people at Mallards were very pleasant and knowledgeable. The service was quick and painless, was very pleased with the condition of the course, it seamed that fairways and greens are maintained regularly, the cart also the cart is new.

I played 4 rounds of golf at Mallards Landing, now called Harbor City Golf Course. The greens were absolutely fantastic, some of the best I have played in the world. Not a single weed or divit, and the ball rolled beautifully. The tee boxes were in great shape, too. Yes, the fairways need some work but they will come back in time. I highly recommend you play this course. And you can't beat the price of 18 holes with cart for $40. I especially enjoyed teeing off right at dawn.

Greens are in phenomenal shape. A couple of fairways are in rough shape but overall for $27 after 2pm for 18 holes this place is a steal.

Beautiful golf course, also very well kept. The driving range is being fixed on which we are looking forward to! Always have a good time.

Where do I start,,,,, 1. Tee boxes were just horrible, BUT, they had been totally redone with new grass planted, I understand and can deal with this but how about a temporary tee box to allow the grass to actually grow?? Every tee box was like teeing off from a sand trap. 2. Fairways had numerous hardpan areas and the grass was so thin it was like hitting off a cart path. 3. The greens, OMG, again, I understand you have to aerate them and dress them with sand but most courses warn you and/or offer a discount. Not only were the greens aerated, many were just dead (see photo) Hole 2, i think, ha…

More obstacle course than golf course. Whoever manages Mallards Landing either hasn’t visited in quite some time or just doesn’t care about providing a fun experience. Tall grass in the fairway, weeds on the tee box, and greens that feel more like sand traps will plague your experience. I can’t believe I paid to putt on this hiking trail of a course (pictured: the third hole). God only knows why the City of Melbourne is trying to keep a golf course open, but they need to either stop or give it to the folks who manage Wickham park. If those Parks and Rec masterminds can’t salvage this wasteland…

Great course and great prices. The staff is always nice to talk to and the bar and grill is perfect after or before tee time. The maintenance is great on the course especially the greens. You can tell everyone respects the course and want it to be good. It is a kinda easy course, there won't be any fairways that will snake around too much, so you can practice your mid game pretty easily.
