In summary

Longview Country Club is appreciated for its friendly and welcoming staff, reasonable pricing, and enjoyable course layout, making it a good option for a relaxed and affordable round of golf. The course, known for its wide open fairways and challenging greens, offers a nostalgic experience for many, despite being one of the older courses in East Texas. However, some visitors have noted issues with maintenance, such as overgrown fairways and rough cart paths, which could benefit from improvements.

Not very nice. This place does not even have a map of the course. The cart paths that they do have are bad and do not go very far to drive on. The grass is very grown up around the area also(looks like the course hasn’t been mowed regularly).. not very well kept at all. Add an extra $15 if you have someone riding with you on the golf cart.

It is with heavy heart to report that as of March 31, 2025, "BUSTERS" WILL CLOSE . No it wasn't the best course compared to others, but it was a place to play. Was very laid back with no tee times or dress code to an extent. All the 25 + years I played there provided good memories. It's a shame the owners became sellouts to a new York(get a rope) company. Pray they keep it as a golf course instead of a subdivision for more Californians and new Yorkers.

Played my first round at longview country club..had a really good time..staff was great, very friendly and very inviting...it's definitely an old course. Which could use a little love..but still a lot of fun to play..green were fast and fair ways are in good shape ..stay out of the ruff ,like most courses they really make you pay ..I would play again, and plan to give it a another go...I do recommend you give it a try...as long as you are able to get off your high horse safely.

Great fairways and average greens., but the greens roll true. Not a driver / pitching wedge course. Long par 3's, doglegs on a number of the holes, and tight driving holes. Plays easy if you keep the ball in play and can shape your shot. Does not play easy from the rough. Great STAFF!

For this golf course being one ,if not,the oldest in east Texas, it is a good challenge. The Greens were really better than more expensive courses I've played. Walking at under 12 bucks is a real bargain. Thank you my buddy, Chris, for turning me on to a gem. Very friendly staff.

Horrible course. I don’t complain at all but the greens don’t have no water sprinklers next to them. Hard and dry feels like a goat farm. Fairways are wayyyy over grown. Will not be coming back.

Not the best course by any means, but if you are looking for a cheap and fun time, this is right up your alley. Me and my Dad had a great time out at Longview country club. Great conditions, by far one of the better courses i’ve played in East Texas!

We enjoyed it! Nice, older course. Clean well-well-maintained club house that doesn't reek of smoke. Very tidy. Polite, helpful staff. The carts are the best in town! Good course for the price. We'll be back.

Played here a handful of times and always have a good time. It's not going to be the nicest course around, but you can play a full 18 holes with a cart without breaking the bank. I recommend this place for sure.

Great wide open fairways but the cart paths and the greens need some serious work. Great course for begginers learning the game and the price is fair in my opinion.

A good place to play for a easy round of golf. Wide open fairways, short par fives, a little bare on grass in aome spots. Very reasonable green fees.

Quiet out of the way course. If you like local. Still plays like it did 20 years ago. Fairways play winter rules. Par 70.
