In summary

Lenawee Country Club is praised for its well-maintained, challenging course with significant elevation changes and mature trees, offering a rewarding experience for golfers. The staff is frequently commended for their professionalism and attentiveness, particularly in hosting events. However, some visitors have noted slow pace of play and concerns about course upkeep, such as un-repaired ball marks and overgrown areas. The on-site restaurant, Birdies, is appreciated for its friendly service and quality food, though some experiences with staff have been mixed.

This is one of those courses from the bygone era of country clubs. All the remnants are there. They keep it in good shape... I would even say excellent condition. This course has a lot of hills and elevation change. Many shots into elevated greens. The par threes are difficult, long. The holes are fairly close together, but many mature trees keep things separated. The pictures are from a mid October round. Good challenge for someone who plays mostly flat courses!

Fairly priced. The hills raise the difficulty level, and the greens are pure. This course is worth the $40–50 on weekends; there is nothing bad about it. Unlike other courses, this one also has real thick rough. The challenge is further increased by the abundance of balls where the grass engulfs them. The only drawback is that it can be challenging to locate balls in these roughs, but that is typical. 5/5 stars ⭐️

We just hosted our daughter’s baby shower at The Hills of Lenawee in the banquet area and it was an amazing day. The staff, Courtney and Rochelle were so attentive, helpful and organized!! They made the day run so smoothly!! The food was good and they were able to accommodate food allergies. There was a golf event also happening the same day, so they offered guests shuttles if they had to park a distance. They thought of everything and went above and beyond to make the day relaxing and enjoyable.

Awesome old course. Very different every time you play . Risk reward awaits you on every hole.

We attended the Taste of Lenawee and the meatballs that was served at the event tasted rancid. They were had by several people at our table and they all described the same rancid flavor.

Nice course, great layout & a very reasonable price,, some bunkers were hard and need attention and I have to say I was honestly pissed that they wouldn't let me use the driving range because I wasn't a member!

Very nice course. I was impressed. Lot of elevation between tee and greens. Rolling terrain. Blind shots. Fast greens. Great shape all around. Off the beaten track. No direct route coming from east.

Beautiful conditions, beautiful layout. HORRIBLE KEEPING PACE! Took 3 hours just to do 9 holes, and we asked about raincheck for the other 9. Pro shop doesn't do that, but employees are sympathetic towards the pace as they hear about club needing a ranger and someone managing tee time constantly. Owners don't care obviously. We were 15 minutes delayed for tee time, nobody there to keep it moving. Horrible round of golf unfortunately.

Challenging course with rolling hills and constant uneven lies. Played on a Sunday morning and it looked like the tee markers hadn't been moved in days. Every one was torn up with divots and broken tees. All trash cans were overflowing and greens were full of un-repaired ball marks. Crab grass everywhere. Last time I played was 2 years ago and the course has gone significantly downhill since then.

My rating is for the course, not the banquet center. It used to be an honor to play this course when it was privately owned, beautiful and well manicured. When it went public they must have fired the groundskeepers. Greedy owners, I assume, sold off trees from the woods that line a lot of the back 9. Trees were cut and all the brush and branches were left behind. Looks like a war zone. Trees lining the creek that runs past several holes used to be cleared when they fell. Now they just lie there. Goose poop everywhere. So sad to see a once beautiful course neglected and now so ugly.

A very good test of golf. Must keep it in play. Observe the tips on the website. Greens are tricky if not below the hole. Would be happy to play again. Staff is excellent.

It had been years since I'd played her (Lenewee Country Club). Loved the old course! It was in good shape. Greens were nice, fast but not too fast. The only criticism i would have is the driving range is strange. In a weird spot and small, but nothing can really be done about that. Oh and the clubhouse doesn't have hotdogs for the turn! Really?! Come on! 😏 I highly recommend this beautiful, well maintained gem! You'll enjoy it!
