Kings deer is my favorite course in the Colorado Springs area and I bought a membership this year, and it has proven to be an amazing choice. The people first and foremost are what make the place special, everyone in the club house is beyond welcoming and always greets you with a smile. The bar and kitchen staff are just the same, all while making the best golf course food in the city (breakfast burritos and bison brats in particular). They take about 5 calls a week from me to set up tee times and no matter how much I call I’m treated with respect and kindness. The course it self is very cha…

Extremely fun course to play and one of the best layouts I have seen in some time. Beautiful open links style course with tons of ups and downs and great views. The staff is amazing, truly take care of their customers and treated me like I was a member of the club. THEY HAVE THE BEST MERCH SELECTION I HAVE SEEN IN A PRO SHOP! Highly recommend the course and can't way to play again!

I thought the course was a good challenge and the staff were very friendly. My only complaint was the pace of play was slow and some of the greens were not in the greatest condition. About 5:15 for 18 holes, driving range was decent, minus no markings to tell how far. I'd be back again. Update 7/1/22: pace of play was better but greens were still in rough shape. It's a hard course but the shape of it makes it harder.

I had a really disappointing experience at Kings Deer Golf Club, and unfortunately it seems consistent with the course’s overall reputation. We had a simple setup with one golfer and one rider. The guy working in the pro shop flat-out refused to allow a rider, offered zero alternatives, and didn’t even attempt to be helpful. There were no suggestions to adjust our tee time and no effort to problem-solve, just a hard “no” with a dismissive attitude. What really stood out was how unprofessional it felt. There was no apology and no real explanation beyond the refusal, and no basic level of cust…

I play this course 10-15 times a year. Finally time to leave a review! First, I've always had positive experiences with the staff. They are knowledgeable and friendly every time I come in. I've lived in the area for 50+ years, and know the past challenges that Kings Deer has faced. I'm confident that they're on firm footing now, and the staff is a major part of that turnaround. The course is a great trek, every hole has it's own personality and challenges. The maintenance staff do a good job keeping the course in shape. Being at a high altitude they have their challenges with water and winte…

Very nice course with a good layout, but never a ranger on the course. Today’s round is taking over five hours, and still no Ranger to accelerate the slow foursome’s. Very painful. Update: decided to give it another chance (no ranger again). At the turn, there are three groups waiting to tee off! Looking like another 5 hour round…possibly longer!

Worst round of golf I have ever played. $50 for 9 holes and the fairways look like garbage. Pace of play does not seem to matter here as I have waited 20 minutes to tee off. Would not recommend.

The golf course was tough but fair. The guys in the pro shop were very nice and professional. The young lady in restaurant was very nice and ham/ Swiss sandwiches were piping Hot. The only knock was the marshall whom lackes professionalism.

Update 8/21: The course is in better shape than it was several weeks ago regarding the fairways and bunkers, but the greens still aren't good. I dont think the greens will recover this year. I can only hope they cover the greens this winter to have better results next year. The course is a good layout and reasonably priced if the conditions were better. Not sure what happened but the guy I played with said most tee times were available when he reserved a day or two beforehand, yet when we got there the place was packed. Very slow play and we waited 15 to 20 minutes on several holes on the fron…

It was such a fun course and actually one of my favorite courses that I have played at in Colorado. You can order food before you finish the front 9 and take it with you to the back 9 holes. There do need to be more trash cans in that case because you can barely find any on the course. The greens were pretty soft

Course was in fantastic condition. Played in 4:15. Had a beverage cart out. Greens were immaculate. Bluetooth equipped carts with gps. KD is checking all my boxes.

Extremely rude staff. We had just parked our cart in the return and before we could even clean everything out we were accosted by an aggressive elderly man with gray hair and a horrible attitude. He insulted our mothers because the carts were dirty, and of course they were dirty because we had just parked them and hadn't gathered our things yet. I don't know his name, but there's one thing I know for sure, and it's that he is better than you. He is so much better than you. He lives in ritzy monument and works at a nice course, only to belittle you and insult your mother. If you like paying too…
