In summary

Hinckley Hills Golf Course is appreciated for its scenic setting, challenging layout, and friendly staff, making it a favored spot for many regular players. However, numerous visitors have raised concerns about the course's maintenance, citing issues with the greens, fairways, and cart paths, which some feel are not reflective of the fees charged. While the course has potential and offers a unique golfing experience, improvements in upkeep are frequently suggested.

Considering the heat waves and dry spells in Ohio the grass is in better condition than I have seen at other courses. Friendly staff and challenging course to play make it worth every cent!

Seems to me they are waiting on an offer for the real estate because it seems like they fired the grounds due to the extremely poor conditions! Sand traps over grown with grass. To say the fairways are “patchy” would be a gross understatement. Greens were terrible! Soggy, and burnt out. Cart paths are undriveable. Tee boxes are just dirt and mud. However, the sign in the clubhouse made me laugh “Give a 4 or 5 star rating and be entered for a free round of golf”. Haven’t played the course in many years but never remember it being in such terrible condition. No wonder we were able to book a tee…

Played this course 2 years ago and gave it 3 stars. Thought I would give it another shot. Rated it as only 2 stars this time. Most bunkers are still overgrown with weeds. Greens are absolutely terrible. Tees aren’t much better. Last time I will spend to play this cow pasture

Horrible conditions for April. Fairways weren’t cut and they just have mounds of sand in the bunkers? No way they should be charging $44 for this mess. Play somewhere/anywhere else besides this goat pasture.

Greens great condition, cart paths are like the rockies so just drive next to it when possible. Lost sunglasses, towel, etc due to bumps. Tough course from the blues. Added photo of a 190 shot on par 3 on 6 for a birdie, loved that feeling.

I enjoy playing here a few times a week. The clubhouse staff is always friendly and accommodating. Nick is also excellent at finding things I often forget in my cart. Views are stunning and the short course (Buzzard's Nest) is a great place to take a new golfer or to get a few quick holes in. No better setting to watch the sun come up.

One of the nicest secluded feeling courses in the area. Yes the cart paths pose a challenge in navigating the potholes. The vista's of walnut hickory and oak, the water features. Natural cliffs add interest to challenging holes. I feel like I'm on an outdoor adventure at this course. This course is a Gem

I have played here since I was 16 - now 45. Such a great layout! But, the upkeep is awful. I was there today and the greens fees were $51. I looked at the guy and thought he ran my buddy with me. Nope. That’s for one; 18-holes and a cart. You can play Chippewa - an EXCELLENT public track - in Doylestown, for less than that. It pains me to say this, but it’s an absolute goat track. The staff were very nice. But, if they don’t put some $ into it, they may as well sell it to a home developer. Sad…

It is a joke that they charged me almost $60 to play this course on a Friday evening. Greens and fairways have disease and there are dead patches everywhere. You can’t get a consistent putt in because the entire green is a sponge. The traps are also all overgrown with weeds. Owners needs to realize that they have a 2 star course and charge what it’s worth.

Awesome course with some seriously long holes, beautiful when the weather is nice. Calm, rarely so busy that you have to rush. Love to golf here with my family.

Literally is hinckley hills. Its like someone said lets build a golf course along the great wall of china. Fairways are nonexistent and poorly maintained. The sprinklers were even still going while we were trying to play rounds and definitely overpriced compared to what other great courses offer. I wont be back.

I've played this course before and I don't think it was ever this bad. This was my first time here in about 2 - 2.5 years and the conditions were less than ideal to put it mildly. As others have mentioned, the tee boxes were like concrete. I literally had to use a hole that was already made by a previous tee because I couldn't place my own into the ground on 2 holes. The fairways were patchy all over and rock hard like the tees. The rough was the rough. Some of the sand traps were grown over as well. Then there's the cart paths, absolutely atrocious. They were the worst cart paths I have ever…
