In summary

Briarwood Golf Club is praised for its picturesque setting and excellent venue for events, particularly weddings, with attentive staff and well-maintained greens. However, some visitors have noted issues with the course's maintenance, such as poor cart paths and sprinkler problems, as well as a slow pace of play that can detract from the overall experience. Despite these concerns, many find the club offers good value and a pleasant atmosphere for both golfing and hosting special occasions.

We celebrated my husbands 70th birthday party, the food was excellent, the wait staff were friendly and helpful. The venue was clean and beautiful. We highly recommend Briarwood for large and small gatherings. We can't say enough of how first class our event was.

Nice layout in the countryside with a mix of easy and more challenging holes. Greens roll well, but overall the course is not very well maintained. Fairways could be in better condition, and many players don’t repair their divots, which is a shame. On the positive side, it’s relatively inexpensive to play and offers good value for money.

A nice very playable golf course. The greens were very puttable and in great shape. The fairways were plush. Anywhere your ball landed was like it was on a tee. One of the nicest polite pro shop guys I have ever met. He actually walked me out of the shop to point out the first tee. More draft selections than most bars have a total of 7 with lots of craft beers on tap. The only downside were the cart paths were in terrible shape. Hundreds of potholes filled with gravel made for a bone jarring ride. Guys, rent a skid steer once a month and just grade the cart path. I know you probably can’t af…

We recently had our wedding at Briarwood, 9/23/22, ceremony & reception-- I must say that everything was perfect!!! The outdoor ceremony was gorgeous, the grounds were perfect for the hour-long time between to take photos with our photographer; so much so that we decided that we didn't need to leave because there were so many beautiful spots to utilize. They even have a cute patio where we had a cocktail hour with horderves to entertain our guests while we were taking said photos. We booked a little more than a year in advance, and worked with Sara, the event coordinator, over that time. She…

Went today and it was very expensive for playing in the fall. Slowest play I have ever played. Stuck behind a four sum that had no clue what they were doing. They took turns walking the entire hole. Had to walk all the way back to get a club then walk all the way across to hit his ball. They took forever on the green every hole. They had no way any idea how to play ready golf. NO STARTER to report problem too and would not let us play through. 5 hours. Never again

Even after a heavy rain fall the night prior, the course was in great shape for this time of year!

Everyone mentioning the poor pace of play is absolutely correct. Came on a Thursday afternoon at 6pm to play 9 holes. Didn’t wrap up the round until close to 9pm. Should not take three hours to play 9 holes. Waiting at every tee box for the groups in front of us. Got paired with two guys who golf at this course frequently, and they said pace of play is terrible all the time - said a 18 hole Saturday tee time could take you close to 6 hours to play. Course was great! Fairways were great, well maintained. Greens were difficult but fun. I just don’t know if I will come back here, ever, due to t…

Tee time at 740am. Sprinklers were on almost every hole throughout the whole 18 holes. Course was a swamp in most areas. Even the fairways. Cart paths are tore up bad as well. Was not a good time!

I used to golf here frequently. Now I likely wont go back unless they fix the tee boxes and get their tee times and pace of play under control. The tee boxes are downright awful, the fairways are okay, and the greens are in good shape - role pretty fast but lots of unrepaired divots and confusing reads. They do cut the rough pretty short making it easier to find the ball. Overall, the course was designed to squeeze in a neighborhood so its not the most fun layout with unique hole designs but its short and scoreable. Good course for a casual golfer but anyone experienced looking for nice 4-5 st…

This place is in serious need of a maintenance overhaul. The cart paths are in terrible condition, and it feels like the carts are going to break when you drive over them. There are several leaky sprinkler pipes that just seem to be haphazardly fixed. This normally wouldn't bother me, except that the grass around the leak was completely soaked, and soaked my shoes. The sand boxes are terribly groomed and the rough grass areas are impossibly high. Until the owners decide to put some serious money into a facilities makeover, take your clubs and your money somewhere else.
