In summary

Hidden Creek Golf Club in Lima, Ohio, is praised for its well-maintained course, challenging layout, and beautiful setting, making it a top choice for both beginners and experienced golfers. The fast and true greens, along with the wide fairways, contribute to a rewarding golfing experience, and the amenities, including a driving range and clubhouse, are appreciated. However, some visitors have reported less positive interactions with staff, citing issues such as unfriendly service and a lack of recognition for achievements, which can detract from the overall experience.

Hidden Creek, located in Lima, Ohio, is an incredible golf course that is open for public play. It is not overly long, and with a slope rating in the mid to high 120s for men, it offers both a challenge and a good time. The Course is owned and operated by the Floyd Young family in Bluffton, OH; a family that has etched its name in golf history, at least in this part of the country. Family patriarch Floyd Young has been in the golf business since 1969. In 1971, the PGA Championship was being held at his home course, and Floyd caddied for Jack Nicklaus. He must have been Nicklaus’ good luck cha…

3 stars due to the fact, ive never been to this course before. It's a beautiful and challenging course. However, I was super dissapointed in the fact that I had got my first EVER hole-in-one on hole 6. Told the guy in the shop(pics amd video) he acted uninterested. Didn't care. Said no recognition(not even did i get the flag 😞) total mood killer! Im glad I got to play there. But don't know if I'll go back. Bad attitude trumps nice course. There's a million other ones I can go to.

Great golf course: well kept, price is pretty fair for 9 holes, friendly staff in the pro shop. A fair amount of holes have plenty of room for errant shots, some keep you honest and give a bit of a challenge.

I played here today, 9/1. I am going to get the negatives out of the way first. 1. Initially, I booked a tee time for 9:22. When I arrived, the gentleman in the pro shop said it was 9:37. While I understand that courses may have the right to adjust reservations, I personally have never heard of a course actually do that. 2. When I got to the first tee, there were at least 5 groups waiting to tee off. No starter. Sixsomes and fivesomes going out. It was an utter disaster at the first tee. Once we got off, things moved along okay, but there needs to be a starter, especially for a holiday. 3.…

The course is beautiful green and trees. It's back off the road so it's quiet. The food is really good for lunch and breakfast. The have beer, wine and seltzer. The sell bags, shirts, balls, tees, gloves. The manager wasn't too friendly and seemed more annoyed than anything when asked questions- hopefully he was just stressed out that day but it wasn't pleasant

This is hands down the best public course in the Lima area. They keep the course immaculate. Fast but fair greens, The service and how they treat the golfers is incredible. Definitely a must stop for out of town travelers

Great golf course. Here is why I say this. Fairways were immaculate. The greens smooth and manicured. Flat and wide open for us amateurs. My only criticism is better signage from green to tee. This was my first time here and it was a bit confusing. Still worthy of 5 stars.

This is a fantastic golf course. Incredibly well maintained and challenging. Greens looked excellent even into the fall. They were fast and consistent. Great terrain for northwest Ohio! The real highlight of this course though, was the people. Everyone who worked there was incredibly hospitable and welcoming, from the young lady who greeted me, to the guys mowing and repairing the tee boxes. (Thanks Bill and Kurly. God used you to make my day.). I will definitely be back to play this course again. Awesome course, even better people! 6 stars!

It was a very nice course for our area. I was impressed that they had a sand bunker. A lot of local courses are getting rid of them. I will definitely be back.

My brother and I have been here three times so far. The course is nice!!! The man who runs the counter(on my receipt, it says his name is Erin) is super rude and unfriendly to us every time we go there. The first time, it was me, my brother, and my father-in-law. My father-in-law lives out of town a couple of hours, so he wanted to only play 9. My brother and I wanted to play 18. Erin acted like this was such an inconvenience, and even though we had reserved it online, he acted like we were causing him so much hassle. The second time we went, it was first thing in the morning we go in, and he…
