In summary

Halifax Plantation Golf Club receives praise for its challenging course layout, well-maintained greens, and excellent staff, particularly in organizing events like weddings. The clubhouse and dining experience are also highlighted positively, with commendations for the food quality and service. However, some visitors express concerns about course maintenance in areas like tee boxes and fairways, inconsistent pricing, and slow pace of play. 1/24/26: A nice experience with the Best Prime Rib in years! We came to visit some friends. They invited us to the clubhouse. Since we are visiting, we noticed the nice decor w/o pretension. Very tasteful. The food was delicious and served fast. My favorite was the melt-in-your mouth Prime Rib, my wife thoroughly enjoyed the chicken Marsala. Along with our hosts, this clubhouse is the jewel of the development. Once again, an nice experience!

Nice course. Very unorganized. Price on the site is not what you pay and tee times are for 4, even if you have a party of 2. We were paired up with another couple without our knowledge. Hard NO. Told we could wait a half hour to golf by ourselves, so we did. The tee times aren’t far enough apart so the time you tee off isn’t your actual tee time. Bunch of old dudes running this place. They need a decent manager. Call for prices before you go and request a private tee time, if you prefer. Not returning again. Update after their response. No, the website price is incorrect. The price we paid ha…

5 and a half hour round as a single on a Tuesday. No GPS, no ranger, and no one cares. Course caters to older players who do not know the etiquette about keeping up with the group in front and letting faster players play through (especially when they take 3 plus hours for 9 holes). Course could be something special given its maturity, but lack of accurate tee and yardage marking and the lack of GPS to speed play, there are just too many better options in the area. BTW. NO on course bev service as well.

Has potential, but could use some TLC. The cart paths are rough and landscaping along the sides is lacking. The putting greens are a highlight though ..fun and slopey! Bartenders are great too. Just needs a little love

What a shame… this place has really let itself go. The tee boxes were mostly overgrown, the fairways were spotty at best, and the rough was more sand and dirt than grass. The bunkers looked like they haven’t been maintained in a long time. The greens and the areas around them were easily the best part of the course. They were on the faster side, rolled fairly true, and had a lot of undulation. The problem is that by the time you get there, you already feel defeated because of the condition of the rest of the course. I honestly felt ripped off paying the $70+ weekend rate. I’ve played municip…

I came up to chip some golf balls at 2:45 this afternoon. After chipping three or four balls the General Manager abruptly walked out and said I could no longer chip as they were closing the chipping green early. When I asked why, he responded “to give the practice green a rest.” I was the only one on the chipping green and only planned on staying for maybe a half an hour. It hardly needs a rest. His attitude was ten times worse than his ridiculous decision making. I’ve been coming to Halifax to play golf for 30+ years and I’ve spent my fair share on greens fees and at the restaurant. I’ve ne…

Everytime I have played here, which is a few, the greens are faster than everywhere between Volusia and Flagler. A very challenging course. You're a golfer if can par this course. Great course conditions for the ones who think they can golf to only be humbled. I don't think you can lol.

If you're looking to plan a wedding with Halifax Plantation Golf Club this is the review for you! My husband and I planned a destination wedding from Wisconsin and Stephanie with the golf club made it so simple. She had amazing reply time throughout the entire year and always had a solution or answer to my problems/questions. She gave me a list of referrals for all kinds of vendors which I used almost all of her referrals for our wedding; the DJ, photographer, videographer, and rehearsal dinner spot all came from Stephanie's referrals. The team at the golf club was even more amazing! We had B…

Just went for New Year’s Eve event in the ballroom everything was fabulous. Food was excellent fillet mignon chicken appetizers with jumbo shrimp or fabulous. The only thing that could’ve made is perfect would be if the band was playing till at least 12 midnight instead of stopping at 11 if they play till midnight and do this again next year will probably be there if not till midnight not so I hope they do because otherwise it was excellent

The course is always in great shape! Love the greens here, fast and slopey, and there's always plenty of grass in the fairways. Consistently the best conditioned public-play course in the area.
