In summary

Genesee Golf Club is appreciated for its scenic setting, affordability, and friendly staff, with many golfers enjoying the well-maintained greens and the availability of two courses. The club is praised for its youth-friendly programs and amenities like a driving range and practice zones. However, some visitors have noted issues with course maintenance, such as unmowed fairways and hard tee boxes, as well as occasional slow pace of play and overbooking.

League are now over with but the course also close earlier now! They did put holes in the green but that is over now, course is dry no drainage issues. Some tee boxes especially on south are hard as a rock and hard to get a tee into. Otherwise great place! Shout out to Alex, Mark De, Joey, Toms, Tom on carts and Herbert and Ed the main!!! But you gotta get your balls b4 530 or the range will probably B closed. Also shout out 2 BONES my brother! They are also friendly for youth on course and first tee program and rochester school district!

I never thought that I would be humiliated an embarrassed in the place that I'm normally the happiest at Genesee golf course, i will never come here ever again, even that I'm a member pass holder. If you are dealing with alot of trespassers you need to hire some rangers and let them deal with the problem, but to come out from the back of counter to bark like a DOG to a grown men is very child like behavior. When it come to the course conditions it has been up and down the whole season!!!!

Very nice golf course! Played the 9 holes. Very straight. Well taken care of. Good for beginners. They also have a little bar with drinks and food. The driving range is very nice. Affordable prices. Will come back!

Played the South course on the morning of July 4th - the setting of the course is gorgeous - huge old, established trees - really cool!!! The course itself is an absolute mess - the fairways looked like they hadn’t been mowed in days…….and the rough……..looked/felt more like a cow pasture than a golf course!!!! As cheap as the course was to play - wasn’t worth it - would’ve been better paying the extra $10 for 9holes and play Shadow Lake - which is in pristine condition!!! If you’re interested in playing a farm field - in a beautiful setting - it’s your course!!!

Playing from out of town, I played the north course and it is in very rough shape, especially for the price of 18. Fairways, about 70% of the fairways had brown rock hard spots or no grass and mud.. Greens were very slow and somewhat inconsistent. Only thing saving from a 1 star review was the friendliness of the staff.

Been here several times to golf with my friends and by myself. This place got affordable prices and spacious field with two courses (North & South). They also have golf clubs to rent but not many, so be mindful if you can't rent one when you were planning to. They have spacious parking lot and cafeteria area too. They have practice zones which I often used. I like this place and would keep visiting here again :)

I’ve been playing mornings at Genny to get nine holes in before work. The last 4 times I went out I’ve had to wait on at least 4 holes (8 today) for the mowers to get off of the hole. Twice today the mowers literally drove past us while we were waiting on the group ahead of us to clear the green and started mowing when we were ready to hit. Usually can play 9 starting at 620 am in about 75 minutes, but it’s been over 2 hours this year.

Some of the drainage issues seem to have been resolved here and I truly enjoyed golfing 18 holes yesterday. The course can be challenging at times and the back nine was exceptionally well taken care of and beautiful

The course is in pretty good shape. The greens are nice, but the tee boxes leave something to be desired. Some tee boxes barely have grass, while others are in fair shape. I walk nine holes when I play, and as a senior, it only costs me $9.00. There is a practice green, a chipping area and a driving range as well.

Nice course. Grass was a little longer than I'd like too see but the greens were great. I would definitely play another round there. I played the south this time around. Next I'll try the north.

Course is looking great for this time of year, grounds crew are doing a great job. The pro shop desk worker with the poorly done flame tattoo on his left forearm did tell me that he is not there to be helpful, so don't expect much of anything from him. Great golf for the price otherwise

Great course, well maintained for a county course. Fall rates are great. Two 18 hole courses along the Genesee River.
