In summary

Foxburg Country Club is celebrated for its historic charm, friendly and attentive staff, and well-maintained course that offers a unique golfing experience on one of America's oldest courses. The layout is appreciated for its challenging small greens and scenic setting, with a quaint clubhouse and a small museum adding to the appeal. However, some visitors note occasional maintenance issues, such as dry spots on the course, and a few have experienced unprofessional interactions, suggesting room for improvement in customer service.

Had a great day golfing at Foxburg Country Club! The building is so charming with all of its history and architecture, and of course the lovely woman who checked us totally set us up for success. She told us a few tips, tricks, and shortcuts to maximize our time on the course. The bar was quant, had an informal dining room, small pro shop, and museum upstairs. Drinks were reasonable (about $5 each for 2 cans), and we sat outside to enjoy our post-round beverages. There was no food there, but if we brought our receipt to the Allegheny Grill (minutes away in downtown Foxburg), I believe you got…

Even in late August the course was in pretty decent shape! It's a fast, fun course that rewards accurate shots, but doesn't obliterate you for offline ones. The girl at the front desk was awesome, friendly and was somehow in 10 places at once it seemed! Get your clubs and enjoy yourself.

I played 9 here today. Course was fun to play. Would have given them five stars but the course was full of dry brown spots. Know it's not their fault since it has been so dry....the lady in the pro shop was fantastic. Will definitely play it again.

A must do . The oldest continuing golf course in America. Basically 9 holes ,even though they say 10. The course and the town of Foxburg is is very historical. Great restaurant/winery / pizza shop/ candy / hotel . Beautiful library _auditorium. Spend some time, enjoy!

Very nice lady working in the pro shot. Proud to say I've played the oldest continuously operating golf course in America.

Great piece of golf history. Small greens and well maintained. Worthy of a pilgrimage; you can’t be a student of golf history without playing this course once in your life. While the course plays just over 5200 yards, the par fours are generally stout at nearly 400 yards, often with a dog leg approach to a small green. Feels like a Donald Ross course.

History lives here! The course is relatively short but the greens tend to be on the small side making it a bit more challenging. They have put a lot of work into the course this year and conditions are improving. I'm looking forward to the major improvements that are in the works for the next few years. It deserves four stars and I hope it gets there some day.

This was a nice course. Well laid out. Well Tended. Not too hilly. Not too flat. I liked it. It only has nine holes. But I only play nine holes.

My brother and I played it many years ago and really enjoyed our day. Four stars simply because of the history and the nice folks. Pebble Beach it ain't, but still an enjoyable course to play in a beautiful setting. A part of the B&O Railroad actually ran through the course. The town library has a B&O RR Historical Society magazine with an article on the line.

Certainly a course in transition. It has improved from last year and the future plans now in place are promising. If you like quaint Foxburgh is for you. From the course setting to the homey clubhouse you'll enjoy every minute. And there's no friendlier staff anywhere. Oh, and check out their unique museum. It's free.

This is the United States' oldest continuously used golf course. It really feels nostalgic to play here. If playing with modern clubs isn't a challenge for you, get a set of hickory shafts and play again. This course is very fun to play! It shows its age, which is the fun in playing here. Will play again!
