In summary

Fairwinds Golf Course is frequently praised for its excellent course conditions, strategic and enjoyable layout, and friendly staff. Many visitors appreciate the reasonable pricing and scenic setting near an airport, which adds a unique ambiance. However, some guests have noted issues with slow pace of play, lack of on-course amenities like ball washers, and occasional concerns with staff interactions.

Fairwinds is absolutely top-notch. One of the best public tracks you’re going to find anywhere in St. Lucie County. The course is consistently in excellent condition, and you can tell they take real pride in keeping it that way. The layout is fantastic open enough to be forgiving if you catch a hook or a slice (like the rest of us), but strategic enough to make you think your way around. It’s not a mindless round. You’ll have opportunities to score, but you’ll also need to manage your shots. It’s the kind of place where you can enjoy yourself and still genuinely challenge your game. And beyo…

Fairwinds Golf Course is one of the nicer courses in Fort Pierce, and overall it’s in good shape with pretty scenery. That said, a few things keep it from being a five-star experience. There’s never really been a starter when we’ve played, so it feels a bit like a free-for-all getting out on the course. The staff is fine, pleasant enough, but not overly welcoming or attentive. My biggest issue is their afternoon rider fee. I totally don’t disagree with charging a rider fee if the course is busy and a cart seat could go to another paying player, that makes sense. But when you’ve got 15 open te…

Despite lack of recent rains, the course was green and good turf conditions, better than most other public courses on the treasure coast. Layout is a fair test not overly challenging. Price was right. Busy, crowded course. Pace of play was a bit slow.

If 0 stars were possible that would be my rating. racism at its finest never felt more disrespected in my entire life, assistant manager Milton came up to us a group of four yelling at us as if we’re children. Zero respect said we weren’t allowed to be on the grass when my cart was slightly of the pavement. I have no idea how this man gets off talking to grown men like their children. My buddy was the only colored person on that field that day. Mr. Milton didn’t bother anyone else who were drinking, running on the Green’s, people pissing in bushes etc., didn’t bother anyone else except for us.…

This golf course is a nice one, very long par 4's, pretty straight forward fairways with an occasional sharp turn. Overall, it's very fun to play. Kevin has this course in phenomenal shape. Although the recent weather has left it a little flooded, the course is in the best shape I've ever seen it in. So not only is it a fun course to play, but it also looks very good. Edit: July 13th, 2024- Kevin is not there anymore (Different superintendent now)

Played recently. Course was in very good condition. Green grass in the fairways and greens were in good shape. Went out fairly early and decent pace of play. I have the membership card so very reasonable to play here. Staff is friendly and helpful. Had lunch afterwards and food is always well prepared and prices are reasonable. As usual lots of planes taking off and landing at the nearby airport. You shouldn't be disappointed if you schedule a round here or even if you just stop for lunch.

Fairwinds is a great course. The inside and outside staff are always very accommodating. The outside maintenance crew could use a class in golf etiquette when dealing with on course golfers. That's minor a problem. Always great to play there.

The course is in great shape and the rates are some of the best in the area. My only issue was that the holes were too small! My poor friend Patrick lost 8 strokes because he’s used to playing regulation holes! He left very distraught! Food is good too! Friendly staff!

This is a great county golf course. Nice scenery. Enjoyed all of the jets taking off from the airport. Nice track but bring your wind game when you come here. Definitely worth the price of admission. Nice driving range. Range balls are not included in green fee. I'll be back on my next visit to Vero Beach.

I cannot say enough good things about Fairwinds golf course. I have been taking some clinics there and have golfed with 9 and Dine. WHICH I HIGHLY RECOMMEND. The staff are so helpful and friendly. I will be playing on the winter ladies league also. I tried a different club and the service could not compare.
