In summary

Exeter Country Club is frequently praised for its beautiful and challenging course layout, well-maintained greens, and friendly staff. Many visitors appreciate the reasonable greens fees and overall course condition, making it a favorite for both locals and visitors. However, some guests have noted issues such as slow pace of play, occasional wet conditions, and a lack of amenities like a beverage cart or ranger presence, which can affect the overall golfing experience.

Fabulous course. Tee boxes, fairways and the greens were all in great condition. The greens fee are extremely reasonable for a course like this. Definitely my favorite!

What a great day! Visiting and rented clubs, they were excellent and the wonderful lady at check in gave me all the secrets of doing well on this course. She was terrific, it is a beautiful course and I will play everytime I am in RI.

Great course- a solid test of golf! Tee shots must be accurate, and the player must get used to elevation changes. The greens were a bit slow (thus only 4 stars), but they were in fantastic shape and rolled true.

First time playing here. We had a great time and the course is in great shape! Another great outing and the course looks great! (Just wish my game looked as good)

My favorite public course layout in Rhode Island. Over the years they've gained a reputation for slow greens, but this year they've been exceptional. I encourage everyone to play here and to return if it's been a while!

I love this course. One of my favorites in the state. The two things I would change would be adding more fairway yardage markers and serving transfusions at the club house. Other than that, this place is a gem.

While the website said best public course in RI - we disagree…expensive ($59 riding each) and no junior discount (why no junior discount), fairways were covered in grass cuttings, greens are super soft…nice staff who allowed us to play in front of a foursome - thank goodness they were playing slow…

Played here twice, first time staff made a homosexual joke about me and my son, second time there was a frost delay, was told 20 mins which turned into 45 that I believe was more like an hour, then I asked for a refund and was denied. Unprofessional staff and not managed well. 10 out of 10 dont recommend.

played 18 holes, Nice course, good condition. Greens rolled nicely. Traps were in good shape. reasonable rate. Easy sign in. Club house is separate from Pro shop. One blind tee shot. I played with my wife and her opinion was course was difficult. Women tees 5400. Will return.

It could be 5 stars(for a public course) if it wasn't always a little too wet. The back nine is hella fun with 13 and 16 being the premiere holes. The greens are always in good condition and roll very well. I play here two to three times a year.

One of the best courses I've played. Long yardage. Very well kept.
