In summary

East Greenwich Golf Club is appreciated for its well-maintained greens, interesting course layout, and convenient location, with amenities like carts and an on-site restaurant enhancing the experience. However, some visitors have expressed concerns about slow pace of play, overbooking, and negative interactions with staff, which have impacted their overall enjoyment. Despite these issues, many find the course to be a good value, particularly for a quick 9-hole round.

Really enjoy this 9-hole course. Hole 3 is really neat at an elevated height looking down and out at the fairway. Hole 8 is also a nice challenge with having to get over the water hazard/pond. Carts and pull carts available, restaurant on-site, convenient location to highway. Only thing I wish they had is a driving range. Thanks.

Great course to play! 2019 rate $30 9 holes with cart! Greens are very well maintained. It was my first time at this course and I will definitely be back!

Let me start by saying our tee times was 4:52 and we were ready and teeing off by 4:45. We didn’t even get to the fourth hole until the Marshall came around telling us we were moving to slow and was extremely rude to someone in my group that was experiencing their first time at a course. Made rude comments stating “it’s a golf course not a driving range” because someone in my group took two practice swings. We are no professionals by any means but any golfer will tell you a practice swing or two is always good before hitting the ball. We offered to give the carts up as it was later in the day…

Starter was rude. I have worked in the service industry for over a decade and would never speak to a customer like that. Waved me out of the line to ring up others first which did nothing to speed up the pace of play. Played here a few times over the years, this was the last. The 2 hour 50 minute 9 hole round was just icing on the cake. Absolute joke. Plenty of places to play around southern RI. This isn’t one of them

I love this course. It can be pretty soggy at times, but otherwise, it’s well maintained. The guy who runs the check in is respectful, helpful and just an all around great person. My only complaint is that it’s a little pricey. Lack of a 19th hole? Here’s an idea, drive two minutes down the road any of the multiple bars and restaurants in the area.

Facebook knows I play golf and their algorithm kept putting East Greenwich Golf Club's Sponsored Post in my news feed. I finally had a day off where it wasn't snowing so decided to get for a quick 9. I met John at the clubhouse and winter rates put a cart in my budget. A second 9 for another $10 with a cart seemed too good to pass up but I needed to stop back at my house after the first 9. I asked John what kind of flexibility they had for me to leave for a couple hours and come back and his response was "No problem!" I was impressed with the condition of the course this early in the season. E…

I'd give less than 1 star if I could... Yesterday, 5/28/2025 whoever was working the pro shop was extremely rude to me and others in my group for no reason at all. I believe the worker's name was Richard and this was the first time we had seen him at the course. Ownership should listen in on how this gentlemen is treating their customers because I'm sure this is a constant state of behavior for this man. Sadly, me nor anyone else in my group will be returning to this location again due to this incident.

Course is holding up great for February. Staff was very accommodating to us.

Used to really like playing this course, usually in great shape, unfortunately very slow play and triple booking Tee times has turned me off, as well as no incentive to wanna play a 2nd 9 as the first tee box is usually very crowded.

The golf course was nice , but our tee time was delayed, resulting in a late start. Our pace of play was consistent with the group ahead, but a course worker approached us on hole 5 and made us feel uncomfortable by urging us to speed up. This marred my wife and friend's first golfing experience, causing my wife to feel self-conscious and quit. Despite paying the same fees as other golfers, we felt unfairly rushed and disappointed with the result of our Sunday golf outing with our wives.

I’ve played here a bunch. I love the course. Staff is wonderful. It could be great if they did one of 2 things. Either make it a members only course or add a ranger. Lately, lineups have been stacked and pace of place has been awful. People with poor etiquette could pick up their ball after the 3rd or 4th putt attempts.

Really nice well maintained 9-hole course. Honestly don’t want to give 5 stars to prevent it from getting more crowded than it already is.
