In summary

Dogwood Hills Golf Course is praised for its well-maintained greens, friendly and accommodating staff, and the scenic, hilly layout that offers a unique challenge. The course is considered a hidden gem and is particularly welcoming to beginners and casual players, offering an affordable and relaxed golfing experience. However, some experienced golfers find the course's short length and lack of distinct fairway cuts less appealing, and there are occasional comments about the need for better-maintained tee boxes.

Played again on 4/10/26. Same nice service as last time. I still did not have one level lie, same as last time. The tee boxes could stand to be cut tighter, same as last time. The grass on the tee box and fairway were the same height at about 1 - 1-1/2”.. No broken tees this time. The greens were surprisingly quick and many of my puttts ended up 5 feet past. Pay close attention if your’e even putting a little down hill. Your put will take off. It was a windy day, but with so many greens on top of hills the wind gust easily hit 25-30 mph which is not unusual here. Great when it is with you on…

Wonderful staff made for a great experience. The golf course is well designed with lots of challenging golf shots. As a single golfer, local golfers let me through, this doesn’t happen on city/public courses. Highly recommended to give this place a try.

Pretty nice course, semi difficult to keep track of the roll on your ball with how hilly it is, but the owner is fantastic and extremely friendly. The greens are well taken care of and speed is nice,

Fun little country course. Definitely lots of country folk golfing here (which is great). Expect a slower pace of play with some challenges as everything is on a slope. Bring your A Game of you golf regularly. I'll definitely be back.

I had not golfed in decades, and this is the place I started again. Dogwood Hills makes it affordable to play! Will is an incredibly nice person. This course makes golfing fun. Players can wear jeans and sneakers or golf attire and golf shoes. I like it that the other players I have encountered on the course have been friendly too. I have not had any encounters with bad attitudes at all, and I am certainly not a good golfer . . . yet. This is, in my opinion, the best place to take a new player—even someone who has never played before. There is no stress, and the quietness of the area helps t…

This course has come a long way! The greens are manicured nicely. The course isn't long, but you have to hit all of the clubs in your bag. You're guaranteed to be welcomed in the clubhouse! Way to go Will!

I loved the greens. Best greens I putted on all year. Course is great 4 beginners, very short. Which makes it great if u want 2 score low. The owners and workers there are very nice. I enjoyed my 18 holes , very much. Go play it again and again.

Well maintained family owned course. Will, the owner, could not have been nicer to us. He was great. Course is very hilly, but many in this area are. Layout is nice, pace is fast and a great value.. Definitely recommend this hidden gem
