In summary

Desert Pines Golf Course receives praise for its well-maintained greens and fairways, scenic layout, and friendly staff, making it a pleasant place to play. The course offers a good value with amenities like rental carts and a well-stocked pro shop. However, some visitors have experienced issues with inconsistent enforcement of rules, slow pace of play, and occasional lapses in customer service.

Course was okay had fun. Probably one of the only bad reviews I have is we asked to play with 5 people it was a slow day but got told no and than later we noticed there was a group of 7 come to find out that was the Marshalls sons playing together a little fairness would of been nice other than that had a good time.

Terrible Experience – Don’t Waste Your Time or Money I don’t usually leave reviews, but this golf course was so bad I felt like I had to say something. From the moment I arrived, it was obvious that the place is poorly managed and completely neglected. The course conditions were awful — dead patches everywhere, uneven fairways, and the greens were in such bad shape it felt like putting on gravel. Tee boxes were overgrown, bunkers were full of weeds or hard as concrete, and nothing looked like it had been maintained in weeks. As for the staff and service, it was somehow even worse than the c…

Nice course, great layout. Sucks it’s cart path only, got lectured by some woman about moving two wheels off of the cart path to make way for her large group to pass. I saw at least three carts in her group. Not sure who she was but not very nice. Mind you I had two wheels on the path and two wheels off, on caliche. A family of four got kicked off the course for not following the cart path rule, crazy because there were not many people on the course. I played on a Saturday. Probably not going back.

A very nice course and great value. DO NOT, however, miss the sign that says Cart Path Only which is 20 feet to the right of the front door of the clubhouse, or you may suffer the same fate as me, which was being stuck behind a foursome of locals with nothing but open holes in front of them for the entire back nine, probably as punishment for my transgression. I’m sorry guys!!

This is a great course highly recommend just remember if you are driving from surrounding area to play there to ask about when you have to return cart we tee off at 3 15 pm and played through 14 holes (630pm) with little light to still play drove back to pro shop because my ride was there to pick us up and they called saying there waiting on us and we were supposed turn in carts at 545 we didn't have a clue that we were supposed to do we were charged an extra $ 10 a cart total 30 for our three carts and didn't get 18 holes

Me and 5 other friends, all beginners went for 9 holes, course was great except up until the end when the washed up grumpy old man decided to lecture us on taking too long. We were conscious of everybody on the course and let multiple people pass us. Don’t recommend until the sob retires. And we paid $300!!!

As a response to the review done by Dennis Price, there were no problems with courtesy or brush prices. One, the prices for the brushes and tees were clearly listed on the display (the price needing to be charged was only .50 more). Second, as I am the “less than courteous obese female”, I can say that my weight has nothing to do with service and that if Mr. Price treats other people like he treated my other coworker and I, then I wouldn’t blame them for being “less than courteous”. However, I still maintained a smile and kept my manners even after this man threw his money at me then snatched…

Course was in good shape for west tx course. Layout is good and even has trees and water on almost every hole. The only problem is members play in big groups, up to seven people in a group, and they will not even acknowledge you if you are a single playing behind them.
