Ward County Golf Course

The most unprofessional staff I have ever encountered at a golf Course. Marshall followed us around the course all 18 have no idea why? T time was at 9am apparently they predict the weather and open when they want. They ended up opening @ 11am. No Email or Nothing on them being closed drove a hour to see a paper on the door. Not worth it at all.

All and all a good, enjoyable course. Green fees are fair. The greens and fairways could have been in a little bit better shape but it was August in West Texas so I’m sure it’s a challenge to maintain under the conditions. Staff and other players were very friendly. The Monahans High School golf team was there practicing. They were very well behaved and respectful on the course. I would be happy to play here again when in town.

$55 to walk the course is ridiculous. The course looks like shit. There’s more sand and dirt than grass. Don’t waste your time or your money playing here. If I could give negative stars I would.

I’m only giving them one star because I can’t post a review without at least one! The most unprofessional staff I have ever encountered at a coarse. We brought our 65 year old mom out to be a spectator and the Marshall followed us around the coarse to make sure she wasn’t playing. We payed for 18 with 4 green fees and 3 carts. $150 in total. T time was at 5 we were at hole 15 when the Marshall approached us yet again and said they were closing at 7:30… closing time is dusk or 8:30 whichever comes first. Not worth it at all.

Course is decent, new management sucks, they'll treat it like it's a top notch PGA course.

Friendly staff. Not the most grass on the fairways or greens, but then again….. We ARE in a desert. They are making improvements on both and even implementing marshals to move along play. I can’t wait to see what comes out of this course. Great job guys!

What’s the point of having a golf course with no one physically playing on it but you can’t get an early tee time… The only time you can get isn’t until 4:30?! Certain holes have been temporary holes for close to three years now… don’t waste your time they suck

Apparently if you are alone you can’t play alone and they are closed on Monday’s! Depending how busy it is you can’t play alone on fridays either so that leaves Tuesday through Thursday and I work I damn damn on the weekdays so I guess that’s n re ver taken into consideration! Btw hogan in midland Texas allows singles and is a better course so monahans golf course needs to do way better than this!

This is a very decent course! The staff is friendly, and great to deal with. I just did 9 holes, and had a cart with rented clubs. They only had one set of lefty rentals, so I used the rights. The golf cart was good, but the cart path was a little rough, and mostly gravel. The fairways were decent, and the greens were nice. It was a good course to shack the cobwebs off. I'll be back for another round.

Course was in bad shape. Drove in from an hour away just to find out they had temporary greens. This was not disclosed until we arrived to pay. Hopefully they can fix up the course because it was almost unplayable. It also was cart path only with the restrictive carts. 1/10 experience.

NOT worth the price. Watering 9-11am. Haven’t had greens on 5 of the front 9 since July, (It’s currently November). Can’t play back 9 without paying for 18 (even when there’s no greens to play). Bad management. Poor service.

Cool place to golf. We had a blast!
