In summary

Alpine Country Club is appreciated for its friendly staff, active tournament schedule, and the unique charm of its 9-hole layout, which includes a secondary set of tees for a varied 18-hole experience. The course is noted for its well-maintained greens, though some visitors express concerns about the condition of the fairways and the overall value for the price. Despite these issues, the club remains a popular choice for its relaxed atmosphere and the limited golfing options in the area.

Played on Friday 8-16-2024. Cost for non residents 50.00 with cart. Fairways and greens were in good condition. 9 hole, played it twice.

Do not come here in the winter months. We paid $90 for two of us to play 18 holes with a cart. First off, $90 to play a 9 hole course twice seems to me to be high. That is not, by far, the worse issues. Lots (and I do means lots) of animal feces all over the course. We found very difficult to find an area that did not have feces on the tee boxes. If you could, there was no grass. The fairways were even worse. You could feces on your ball as it rolled after a shot. The only, only good thing to say is the greens were OK. For $90, stay away.

First time to play this course, was a good track, 9 holes with a secondary set of tees so you can get in 18. A little rough so keep it in the middle. Will play again. Staff at clubhouse very friendly. Pars and Birdies!

Played recently, warm-ish day and normal wind. This course is what it is, a classic muni 'Goat Track'. It's a 9 hole layout that plays from sepatarte tees on both sides to keep the distances different on the back nine but that only happened on 4-5 holes while I was there. Pace of play was fine, not a lotta folks out that day. Tees were overgrown, not very level and the course winds around itself making it a little hard to follow from hole to hole. There's not enough "this way -->" signage for a first time visitor. The greens were typical of a muni, on the small side and not much undulation. S…

Super cool West Texas golf course! Money goes to the greens and tee boxes, as it should. If you're coming out to far West Texas consider the following trifecta... Alpine Country Club, Marfa Muni (highest course in Texas), Black Jack’s Crossing Golf Course in Lajitas.

Sure it’s overpriced for a 9 hole course with questionable fairways and greens most of the year. But it’s the only game in town and the folks are nice. They should get some merch to sell.

Way over priced for the course. Small greens but good. No yardage markers. Thats about it. Prolly not play here again untill they work on the fairways. Friendly staff.

Over priced at 45.00 with cart. Fairways non-existent. Greens great. The greens are the only reason for any stars.
