In summary

Denison Golf Club at Granville is highly praised for its excellent course conditions, challenging Donald Ross layout, and friendly, accommodating staff. The course's scenic setting, particularly the back nine and the 18th hole, is a highlight for many visitors. However, some golfers feel the greens could be smoother and faster, and there are occasional mentions of high pricing, especially on weekends.

Course is in great condition. I will say though, for the price ($95... 😬) I would have expected greens that were faster/smoother and absolutely pristine. Not to say the greens aren't in great shape, but I'll be honest and say the greens on the Columbus City courses run faster/smoother than these. I'd even go as far as to say the greens were running slow. Fairways and tee boxes are all in excellent condition however. And every bunker is playable with soft sand and everything is raked and tidy. The only reason for 4 not 5 stars is the pricetag to play here for the conditions, it's definitely goo…

Course was in amazing condition, especially considering we are in the middle of a drought. Solid pace of play for a weekday afternoon. Only complaint was the greens, definitely bouncy and subpar for a top tier course. Certainly one of the more difficult courses I’ve played, but would definitely go back again.

Excellent course and well cared for. Challenging Donald Ross layout but not too difficult to ruin your day. Greens roll true, staff is great here.

Absolute fantastic course. The service inside club house and out on the course was outstanding. Enjoyed speaking with course Ranger, funny guy a real pleasure. Course is in terrific shape. Greens running true and challenging. Well manicured course and I plan to come back soon to Plat it again. If you reside in the Columbus area make it a point to play this gorgeous course.

The Granville Golf Course – better known these days as Denison Golf Club - has long been recognized as one of the best public courses in the Midwest. Ross stuck to his philosophy of using as much of the land’s natural topography as possible and with Granville’s naturally rolling wooded and hilly terrain, the task was easy. Tight, sloped fairways lead to firm and fast Bentgrass greens, and the 63 strategically placed sand bunkers will keep you honest. Like most Donald Ross courses, what Denison lacks in length, it makes up for in challenging approach shots and small greens. Ross’s belief that…

It’s a nice course but the price they charge for the weekend is ridiculous. Even through the week is kind of steep too.. you can drive 15-20 minutes up the road to echo springs and play a very nice course that is easier on the wallet.

Weed free and the fairways and greens in great condition. Can tell this is a well taken care of course. Clubhouse has food, sodas, beer, and mixed drinks. Small indoor seating with outside seating area. First time there and definitely will be back.

Took 11 players out to Denison Thursday. We had a great time. Course staff were great. We got off early and played in 3 hours 45 minutes. Course as always was beautiful and in great shape. Highly recommend!

Wonderful golf course. Donald Ross design. The back nine is gorgeous especially the last few holes. Staff is great. Very friendly. Only negative is the cart paths need updated. Lots of really bumpy paths and don’t coast down the 18th. Napoleon will come out with his sword and hat lol

One of my favorite courses in central Ohio. Long, challenging and tough greens. Highly recommend you try it out. Pricing is pretty competitive as Denison has done a great job investing in fixing things that. It's in awesome shape.

Beautiful course, greens are tricky and a little sloppy but fun to play.

Absolutely loved the course and the staff was super friendly and accommodating. Course was in great condition, view on the 18th tee was incredible, fairways were beautiful and spent an unfortunate amount of time in the bunkers which were also in excellent condition. Only gripe is the lack of ball washing stations.
