In summary

Cranberry Highlands Golf Course is frequently praised for its excellent course conditions, well-maintained greens, and friendly staff, making it one of the top public courses in the Pittsburgh area. The course offers a challenging yet enjoyable layout with modern amenities like GPS-equipped carts. However, some visitors express frustration with the booking process, particularly for non-residents and smaller groups, and note that the absence of a driving range can be misleading.

I really enjoy playing this course. The staff is always so helpful and nice. Bring extra balls because of the tall grass but that makes it a little more challenging. Pricing is really fair, course is always in great condition, GPS on the golf carts, USB to keep your phone charging.

Played a friendly foursome on a perfect late summer morning. Couldn't have asked for better conditions. The white tees played a bit shorter that day because it was dry. Nice rolls on the fairways. Greens played fast but not too fast. Not a difficult course but you still needed to be focused. One of the best courses around for the money and last but not least, it was well maintained. Hope to play some fall golf there for sure.

This is by far one of the top 10 public courses in this area. Course is always in great shape, greens are well taken care of as well as the tee boxes. The staff is always outgoing as well as the starters. 10/10 experience every time you play here.

The golf course is in wonderful condition. The amenities (golf carts, bathrooms porta toilets) were clean and and well kept. The staff was somewhat friendly and helpful. There's lots of free parking and a bag drop. Everything's there to have a good day of golf. It's exceptionally good for a resident of Cranberry township. The green fees are less than if you are not a resident.

Probably the best public course under an hour of Pittsburgh. The staff is top tier. From the box to the green everything was pretty well kept.

I’m giving it a five for many reasons, but overall value is fantastic. Very well manicured, greens are superb, ten minute tee times allow for not being rushed, cart paths are great. Beware, rough is very penal, but wide fairways allow for very strategic golf. Carts are really nice and comfortable with very active communications on-board. We were alerted to fairway sprinklers about to engage, and sure enough the water came after we went through. All around a very good place to enjoy a round of golf. All the workers are retired guys it appears, not sure why I always cross paths with the staff th…

For anyone traveling to the Pittsburgh area and wanting to book a tee time in advance, good luck. Planned a weekend golf trip with a couple of buddies for the first weekend in August of this year. Inquired about tee times towards the end of June/beginning of July. Was told that times open up 7 days in advance of the day that you’re looking to play, but I could email the head Pro to inquire about an advanced reservation. Reached out via the email provided by Terry in the pro shop, only to never get a response. Called 10 days in advance of the day that we were wanting to play on, and was told al…

Amazing course, but they think they’re guarding St Andrews over here. These guys will essentially tell you to jump off a bridge if you dare ask to book a solo tee time, or even if it’s just 2 people. Even when I set an alarm for 1:30am the week before, to try to book ahead some tee times for me and my best friends for my OWN 30th birthday, there are only 3 available times and the earliest is 2:40pm. So stupid. The course itself: amazing. The people who run this place: can kick rocks. Legitimately are the worst people I’ve ever dealt with at any golf course, ever. Let’s not forget this is a mun…

Great course conditions and very welcoming staff. It might be more per round for non-Cranberry residents, but worth the price. One of the best public courses around.

No driving range, not allowed to chip on practice greens and the course is short. Other than that, the course is beautiful and in great shape. Unbelievable muni course. The greens are slower than expected but in great condition. Worth the $50
