In summary

Copake Country Club is frequently praised for its stunning views, challenging layout, and well-maintained greens, with many appreciating the friendly and accommodating staff. The course offers a picturesque setting with a hilly terrain that enhances the golfing experience. However, some visitors have noted issues such as slow pace of play, uneven tee boxes, and a lack of clear signage, which can detract from the overall experience. Despite these concerns, many golfers find the course worth visiting for its scenic beauty and engaging design.

Copake CC is outstanding. It is one of the most beautiful you will ever play, amazing views, well maintained and great service. It is not an easy course but you will get to use driver a lot. It is completely worth the trip.

As someone who has played this course for the last 10 years, the greens are back and in the best condition that I can remember them Being in. It was in rough shape in the early summer but they have listened & made improvements. The new pro has done a fantastic job. I expect to see continued incremental improvements as there are still many that need to be made. The course is playing fast & firm as it was intended & as it should. The price is hard to beat. The only down side is the pace of play can be rouuugh if you’re caught at the wrong time. Not much that can be done about that other than hav…

Beautiful and very challenging course nessled on a gorgeous lake with very nice homes all around. Clubhouse has amazing food and drink specials, and the 1st fairway has a GIANT American Flag 🇺🇸🇺🇸. This is a great course to go with friends and give yourself a putting challenge. Lots of slope on the fairways and undulation on the green.

The course is nice. One thing i didn't like was there tee boxes was not level. If they just took care of the maintenance just alittle more this place would be great. Only would pay the 45 online price, not a 85 dollar course

Came for the first time. Had to walk the course because they weren't allowing carts out... not even cart path only, which made no sense at all especially since they allowed carts out right after we started our round. That was fairly annoying. The course has quite a bit of elevation change... would have been much more enjoyable in a cart. We ran into some locals while playing which gave me the most outrageous experience I've ever had on the course and won't go any further into detail. The course itself is really nice and has great views of the surrounding area. I plan to come back and try to co…

Played Copake Lake a week ago. Fantastic staff that was very accommodating. The layout is impressive, with lots of elevation and smaller old school greens. Pace of play was an issue, some what do to conditions(long rough due to excessive rain). Would definitely make a return visit.

All in all, a bit challenging course in the way that green runs quick. Every hole is relatively wide, so some tolerance with ball going left and right, but many holes are lying side by side. A big con is lack of management. Golf carts are unattended (e.g. 2 teenagers were able to drive the cart into a fence and risked hurting themselves and others when pro shop closed) and dirty. The whole course has nearly zero signage of where the next hold is. Fairway and bunkers are not well maintained. And nobody will check you in at the first hole. We were getting different group of ppl ahead of us and…
