In summary

Clinton Country Club is praised for its beautiful course layout, friendly staff, and excellent dining options, making it a favorite for many visitors. However, some golfers have expressed concerns about inconsistent course maintenance, including overgrown roughs and poorly maintained bunkers, as well as occasional issues with customer service from the course marshal. Despite these criticisms, the club remains a popular choice for events and family gatherings, with its warm atmosphere and varied amenities.

We had a family reunion here. We like the warm feeling and location of this place. I understand that they are going to tear it down but I hope they keep the charm and warmth of this place. The food we had was very good.

Course has seen much better days. It appears as though there mowers are broken because the "fairways" are more like first cut anywhere else. The rough would be considered long for U.S. Open standards. The greens are slow, bunkers low on sand. There is debris all over the place as you can see with the picture of the fallen tree beside the green with stacked firewood next to it. This type of stuff is prevalent all over the course. Now the layout, both par 5s on the back 9 require you to tee off with less than driver if you hit the ball farther than about 250. Tee boxes are crowned on numerous ho…

This is a hidden gem in Mill Hall! The food is excellent. The burgers are HUGE, as is the peanut butter pie (the Graham cracker crust is at least half an inch thick and delicious). The menu selection is varied, so there's something for everyone. The atmosphere is a bit like a sports bar, but there's a dining room away from the bar for a quieter atmosphere. Overall, we really enjoy dining here.

The course has a nice layout except for the finishing hole 18, 70 yard par three that has less charm than a local pitch and putt. That being said... the course is in horrible condition! Clover and crabgrass everywhere, burned out fairways and poorly maintained bunkers that have rocks and little sand. They charged 50 dollars... I don’t know how any self respecting USGA course could in good conscience charge more than 30 at MOST for the conditions of this poorly maintained course! Looking at other reviews, it looks like the food must be good there. I only had the Hot dog at the turn. The staff h…

Its a very interesting layout. Challenging holes that need a fair amount of accuracy. The greens roll very true but are extremely testy. Good course for mid handicappers or better. Course was in good condition, nothing at all to complain about.

I played the course again on 5/22/26. It had been 6 years since my previous 2 star post. I like to give credit where crdit is due and the course it totally different than the poor review I gave 6 years ago. Tee boxes, greens and fairways all in great shape. It provides challenges that demand straight tee shots on many holes with doglegs and some more.open tee shots on others. I would play this course again without hesitation. I was born and raised in Lock Haven back when this course was private. I spent many days looking for balls in the woods throughout the course and remember this course as…

Husband and son belong. Husband has taken the kids up there since they were about 3 years old. Always friendly and they hold different events for the kids! Our daughter won the fishing derby a few years back, during el. School. She got a trophy and a fishing pole! Rich owns the restaurant, friendly, great food, pro shop has good selection of golf items, Holly handles club related issues. Course is beautiful, they love it and go every chance they get!

I live in Clinton County and recently took several of my good friends to Clinton Country Club while they visited locally on holiday. Over Memorial Day weekend we were treated unnecessarily curtly at best by the ‘Marshall’ with a yellow flag for having our cart slightly on the path during tee off 1. More recently our party got together again for an 8:10 tee time. As we arrived we thought to do the back nine, which is common practice as far as I know. When teeing off the ‘Marshall’ came speeding over to tell us, and I quote, “You Can’t Just Start On Tee 10, they Haven’t Finished Mowing The On T…

We enjoyed the course and it was in nice shape. Most in our group hadn't played it before and were confused where the next hole was, maybe better signs.
