In summary

Cheyenne Shadows Golf Course is frequently praised for its beautiful setting, well-maintained grounds, and friendly staff, making it a popular choice for both military personnel and civilians. The course offers a challenging layout with modern amenities like GPS-equipped carts, and is noted for being affordable, especially for military members. However, some visitors have expressed frustration with the slow pace of play, particularly during tournaments and league days, and mention the need for a visitor pass due to its location on a military base.

Whoever says it is easy access is completely wrong, be ready to spend 30 minutes trying to get a visitor pass to get to the golf course. Drove 45 minutes to play golf just to be told I need a visitor pass to play golf? Registration expired by 3 days and wasn’t able to get a visitor pass, was never told this over the phone when I called.

Very nice Course for the price with beautiful scenery! Golf now app didn’t mention we needed day passes to get to the course as it’s on a military base- good thing I read other google reviews or we wouldn’t have been allowed on the base for our t off time. Also served me the worst burger of my life at the golf course concession stand- dry, overcooked, and with a bad attitude! Hire new concession workers and order better burger patty’s and you will sell 10 x as many!

Arguably the best “public” course in Colorado Springs. This is tough, but fair golf course. It is nice to be at a course where the management is so friendly and takes so much pride in their golf course! The only downside of this course is the greens, they do not seem to roll consistently from green to green. But that shouldn’t stop you from checking the course out!

Okay enough is enough. The course is beautiful and extremely well maintained but the starters just don't give a crap anymore. The time management on this course is absolutely atrocious. Tee times don't matter to anyone anymore. Got to love four four packs lined up at the turn. Military members can't play regularly because there's always five tournaments lined up for the day. Do you want to play fast by yourself to practice? Forget about it, you absolutely will be paired up with a group. That's lined up behind three other groups that are playing slow

We just went for the first time over labor day weekend, and we had lots of fun. I don't play golf but I enjoyed the views and the weather that day. My husband and sister in law played and they had a blast. Going back again soon since we live two minutes away.

Well maintained course; however, the wife and I went on a Tuesday for our first round there and were surprised to find out that both women’s and men’s leagues were playing that day. Our 9 hole round took us 4.5hrs to complete. EXTREMELY backed up play…and the players behind us were sitting on our tee box as we were teeing off…didn’t give us any respect/space. Why not just block out the day and let the leagues play? Wasn’t told starting play was on the 10th hole either. A few days prior I called in to see if certain wedges were available and was told no, only to find out they actually were avai…

If you are a civilian factor in 20 to 30 minutes to get a visitors pass to get on base. The course was nice and green, fairways and tees were good in great shape for the middle of July. Decent greens prices. $100 for 3 to play with carts.

Overall great time at the driving range. Fun place for family and serious players. Cheap outing, it’s like $8 for a big basket for the driving range. Well kept facilities and grounds.

Workers are rude and pathetic. Just like every other business on any installation.
