In summary

Cherokee Hills Golf Course is frequently praised for its well-maintained conditions, including immaculate fairways, tee boxes, and greens, which many find to be challenging yet enjoyable. The course layout, characterized by its elevation changes and scenic setting in the rolling hills of west central Ohio, adds a unique character that appeals to both novice and experienced golfers. While the staff and amenities receive positive feedback, some players find the fast and sloped greens to be overly challenging, suggesting a need for careful play and course knowledge.

Love love love this course. One of our favorites. The improvements they make every year says alot about the owners that put back into the course. I can honestly say they don’t charge enough. The course itself plays true. Beautiful fairways. Great dog legs. Challenging fast greens. Just what we love.

Awesome course in great shape given the drought conditions. Family run and they put $$$ into the place. Keep up the great job. Hidden gem in NW central Ohio. Worth the drive from Columbus or Dayton.

Have played this course 6 or so times this year. It's a fun layout, course is in great shape considering dry weather. Owner has made some worthy investments into aprons on the greens and cart paths. The greens are usually great shape, not that it matters because chances are your ball won't stay on them. As others have mentioned, greens are much faster than is typical, borderline unfair, for this caliber of course. You MUST leave the ball below the hole in most instances. Getting up and down requires an exceptional short game. Most the greens have a ton of slope, might not be fun for some gol…

I have played here for 55 years, living in Dayton and currently Columbus. I pass many courses on my way to this one and it will always hold a place in my heart. Mike has done wonderful things with this course and the staff, no matter what time it is is always friendly. There's not a better deal for the money in all the state. Thank you for only making changes for the better. The ball is circa 1978, hole #16 hole in one. Haven't seen once since~

Played in June 2024 for first time. Really impressed with how well manicured the course is. It felt like country club conditions at a public course - which you don’t see that often. It was wet and drizzled most of my round, so that softened conditions some, but the greens were still true, and fairly fast all things considered. My guess is they can really get them fast on dry days when they want to. Fairways, tee boxes, and bunkers also were very well manicured as well. Course itself is pretty straightforward, and isn’t super long. There are a few holes with doglegs, or water, but nothing craz…

Drove a little more than an hour from Dayton to try this course for the first time, and I was not disappointed. Tee boxes, greens and fairways were meticulously maintained. The holes are well marked, and cart paths are mostly paved. It is very scoreable with ample room off the tees, and greens are smooth and fast. There are a few holes that will challenge all skill levels, with some water requiring your utmost attention! Overall, this is a must play situated in the beautiful rolling hills of west central Ohio.

My buddy tried to call and book a Tee Time. Woman just kept saying phone is gargled and hung up. So I called, and before I could even say anything she said the same thing to me. Phone is gargled and hung up?. We can hear each other just fine, and her just fine. Maybe y'all need a new phone company, or just stop being rude to people when they call you!

Up from Florida and played course today 6/12. Tee boxes, fairways and greens are immaculate. Greens are fast and sloppy. Person setting pins must have been mad cause they were in some crazy places. Might have been my putting...lol. For real excellent course and a must play if near it. We'll worth the price. Probably under priced for the condition. We'll done cherokee staff. Shawn

I had a mixed day today. I didn't bring my a game and you need it here. I had a hole in one, but also had 5 doubles. The course was in good shape for as dry as it has been. The greens are difficult as always. There were a few fairways that are being overseeded. I always enjoy the challenges of this course, but have rarely played it as well as I think I can. Reading the greens is difficult for me. I need to play here more often to get a better feel for them. If you like the challenges of golf in the hills, you need to go to Cherokee Hills!
