In summary

Cascades Golf Club is frequently praised for its well-maintained course, challenging layout, and affordable pricing, offering a variety of holes that appeal to both seasoned and casual golfers. The staff is generally seen as friendly and helpful, with additional amenities like drink service and discounts enhancing the experience. However, some visitors report issues with slow pace of play and occasional organizational challenges, particularly during busy times or league play.

Golfed this course while in the area for NASCAR in August. Booked a great deal online, 18 holes/cart for under $30. Check in was a breeze. Carts were very nice. Greens were surprisingly fast even with the recent extreme rain. Pro shop guys were helpful when I realized my spikes were disintegrating and decided to do a wholesale change at the turn. Rain started around 13, we tried to play through/wait it out but gave up mid-15. I look forward to playing again and would recommend.

Not a bad course itself but when I get turned away on a Thursday because I was told it’s the busiest day due to leagues, and then try to play on a Monday and have the same issue. I booked 18 online for 6:15pm (shouldn’t be an option) and it took me just over 2 hours to play 5 holes. I left after 5 holes because it was 3 deep on a tee box. Not necessarily upset about the leagues, mainly upset I was able to book a tee time for 18, paid for 18, and could only play 5 due to the extremely slow pace of play. Seems like no day through the week, is a good day to golf here due to leagues.

Walked the course recently with a Friend. It's a very traditional old school course with lots of trees, narrow fairways and interesting greens. You need to play position golf and it's relatively long, especially the par 4s. It's in great shape for early in the year. Would like to play it again as it was very enjoyable.

The course let a foursome cut in on number 10 and they were the slowest prices I have EVER had to play behind! Course should not have let anyone cut when people are making the turn! Course was in nice shape.

"The course was well-maintained and overall pretty decent. However, the experience felt a bit rushed, as the staff seemed eager to move us along. We also had to wait for a while because a high school team was practicing.

Rude staff who do not know how to conduct themselves when the course is busy. My husband and I were asked to pick up the pace by a ranger, or we could "try the short course and see if that is easier for us." After deciding to set aside for 5 minutes, a single guy followed by a pair went by. Nobody else came up behind us the rest of the round. Played 9 holes in just over 2 hours. We will not be coming back.

This is one of the most unorganized golf courses in Jackson. They put league play ahead of the HS girls golf invitationals. The girls only had two holes left, and had to stop to let a group of men tee off. While they waited 45m inside. I guarantee if it was HS men's golf, they wouldn't have done that. This type of stuff happens all the time. All the other courses in Jackson don't have these issues, just Cascades. They have no lines of communication. Someone is not doing their job correctly.

For a municipal course in Michigan I would rank this course right up there at the top. Greens and tees were in good shape as of 10/22/22. Very few holes have hazards so you are not losing many balls. Not extremely long, plays 6700 or so from the back tees. Some very pretty mature trees throughout the course and definitely some wildlife(still have a turkey tag?) Price is very reasonable, $35 with a cart. Played in less than 4 hrs starting at 9a on a Sunday

Nice course with well kept fairways and greens. Our group went later in the season, but the price point was extremely reasonable and well worth the money. They also participate in local coupon books, therefore you might be able to make the trip even more reasonable. Will go again next season.

Had a 9:44am tee time. Employee told us we were following a group and will begin shortly. Waited 15 minutes, ended up going inside to ask if we can play the back 9. Employee got flustered and told us okay. Started hole 10, we were half way done with that hole, man comes up to us and tells us to skip 2 holes because the men behind us are impatient and play here all the time so i guess they are the priority…? Rest of the time was fine once we got away from rude men.
