In summary

Whispering Creek Golf Club receives mixed reviews, with some praising its challenging layout and well-maintained greens, making it a favorite for local golfers. However, there are frequent criticisms regarding the overall condition of the course, particularly the hard ground, uneven tee boxes, and weed-laden bunkers. Additionally, customer service and the pace of play have been highlighted as areas needing improvement, with some visitors experiencing slow rounds and unfriendly interactions with staff.

Sad to have to write this, but the course is in terrible shape compared to a few years ago. Used to be in wonderful condition but I feel it has slipped badly over time. I did not expect to see such poorly maintained greens with dead grass, weeds, ant hills everywhere… rock hard fairways… bunkers are overgrown with weeds… I am disappointed to have paid $50 to play this course when there are courses in immaculate shape for less around Fort Wayne. I would have picked a city parks course against WC in its current state. Bummer.

Not one of my favorite courses in the area. The first hole is next to the driving range, so if you hit left, plan on searching through range balls to find yours. I've never understood why the ground is so hard. It's literally like hitting off of concrete, in some areas. The greens are nice, and the carts are fairly new. The guys in the clubhouse are obviously overworked, judging from how grumpy they are. They just want to make the sale, but aren't there for questions or small-talk.

Played with a foursome today. Under 2 hour pace on front nine even after stopping at the turn, got told we needed to play faster, assume it was the old ladies group behind us, probably couldn’t see we were also being held up, was having a good day until then, crazy expectations for 50 dollar golf and terrible geeens. Also loved the irony of the “judgment free” sign in the cart, maybe it’s time to avoid “the creek”.

We played here on Good Friday, so I was expecting play to be a little slow, and it was. No big deal. We had another twosome in front of us, and everyone had to wait a bit on each tee box. Had a bizarre interaction with the ranger on the par 5 8th hole. We were in the fairway getting ready to hit our second shot. The group in front of us was up near the green. The ranger came over and told us to, "Do a better job of keeping up with the group in front of you." I said we would, but also told him we had been waiting on every tee box. He just stared at me and didn't say anything. Short of hitting i…

Neat little course that is good for any level of golfer. The course was well kept and flowed very well. The only ding I can give it is the price. It seems to be a tad expensive for what you get but other than that it was a great experience.

Great little course. It was a beautiful day for golf and the course is sneaky tough. Plus I left my range finder in the cart and I didn't realize it until I got back to home 2.5 hours away and they still had it and my buddy picked it up for me. Will definitely play again and this time from the Tips. Wasn't much difference on some holes but also would have let me play some different clubs on the tee box.

My tee time was at 11:30 so I called the course to let them know in advance I will be 2 minutes late. He told to hurry so he could still fit me in. When I arrived I drove to the first hole, and the team in front of us was booked for 11:22… still waiting to tee off at 11:43. Currently… it’s 1:30, I teed off at 11:50 and I am on hole 6…. This course is ridiculous. The employee at the front desk was EXTREMELY rude! When we called to try to be polite he was passive aggressively telling us that we couldn’t get in unless we were right on time. Like I said the course is completely backed up and it is…

$47 for this course is outrageous. You could have a better experience at McMillen for a fraction of the price. Tee boxes were uneven, ground was rock hard, bunkers were like concrete, and the fairway was almost indistinguishable from the rough. The greens were okay, but that is the only good thing I can say about this course. If the price was $25-30 then I would consider coming back, but at the current price I would just about rather go anywhere else

On 2 separate occasions, the course wrote down our tee times on the wrong day.

Already been here twice in 2024 and it's only April 1st. Course is in great shape after the mild winter. The guys in the clubhouse mentioned they're flipping the front and back nines this year to better monitor who's teeing off and when. That should help some of the slower players that have bogged down some rounds here in the past. My only complaint is the parking lot. It's not a course/ownership problem, but the idiots who park in the eastern most part of the parking lot (closest to 1st tee box and 9th green). When they do that it forces drivers to back up through the parking lot. Just look…

I've given this course a chance time and time again. Year after year, they never fail to exhibit terrible customer service every time that I'm there. Most recently, a friend had booked a tee time online for 2 and I had technical difficulties booking mine. As a result, I showed up anyways thinking they would allow me to play especially at full price (which is overpriced). However, I was not surprised when they turned me away which many courses in the Fort Wayne area would not do. I stayed to see if there was room for me to squeeze in and without a doubt there was. The group I was wanting to be…

I've read previous reviews and honestly think I played a different course. Fairways were spot on and ample for the casual golfer. Greens were quick and not pockmarked like many public coursed. Personnel were friendly and courteous. I'd play here anytime.
