In summary

Wellshire Golf Course is appreciated for its classic Donald Ross design, well-maintained greens, and friendly staff, offering a scenic and walkable experience with views of the city and mountains. The course is noted for its historical charm and reasonable pricing, making it a popular choice among golfers. However, some visitors have raised concerns about slow pace of play, lack of a driving range, and occasional issues with course management and amenities.

Overall great course. Staff was very friendly and professional. Prices are reasonable for a very well maintained course. I even loved the snack shack with bathrooms, as it was very clean. My two issues were the tee boxes are right next to the greens so if you don't hit the greens you're constantly yelling for. Also the greens are like concrete. Very difficult to actually land on the green. Maybe it's designed that was and they were in very good shape

Amazing and classic Donald Ross design with a lot of history. Great views, a challenging track - Don’t miss it in the wrong spot ! Easy to walk course but can be challenging to get on so make your reservations well in advance.

Great location! Had a good time with my buddies visiting from Oklahoma! Good drinks too! Clean overall might use a little bit better management for its greens and fairways but good overall.

Amazing course west of the Mississippi! Ben Hogan was right about hole 7 too! You’ll love the closeness of tee and greens keeping an eye on everyone playing around you. Easy walk, light hills with relaxing views of the city and mountains. A must play track in Colorado not just once!

It’s a shame what they’ve let this course become. It’s a freaking goat rodeo out there. Needs new management. Classic Denver course and kept in decent shape, although the greens are constantly too long. But that’s where it ends. Yet another Denver area public course where the marshal does jack to educate the increasing swarm beginners on pace of play, just drives around for show. 2:45 9 holes the other day and will be my last time going here. Miserable, and they clearly couldn’t care less about real golfers trying to play here. If you’re under a 15 handicap best go elsewhere as you’ll be pull…

Great golf course, but the pub is an absolute travesty. What a waste of a perfectly great location. Guests would be smart to stay away from the food here. Check out these pictures of the men’s room.

Green fees are reasonable and the course is well maintained. Snack shack but apparently no snack cart. The driving range hasn't been open for years and there seems to be no plan to reopen it. Bad experience with the course marshal in the front nine but the one on the back nine was nice. I didn't think the course design was very interesting but it was pretty walkable.

Love the course, but I have had multiple experiences of sexism as a female golfer on this course, notably tonight from the starter and course ambassador. I was playing with two friends who are newer to golf, but I have been playing my entire life and was making sure we kept pace, and we were using a scramble format when we needed to. On the first hole, we were waiting on the tee box for 20 minutes waiting to go off because the course was backed up, and after we hit our drives we immediately got told that we ladies needed to pick it up. On our second shots, the course ambassador came by and sco…

Fun course with a great design BUT no water on the course (regardless of temp). Course runs close to other holes so you will hear/yell “fore” often. NO ONE enforces pace of play, so expect 5+ hr rounds with 5-10 minutes of waiting between shots. Lastly, the driving range is under construction, but it’s always been a sore spot for the course. Fun to play, but not a 5-star course—especially with the green fees they charge (~$50 for a weekday 18 walking)
