In summary

Watkins Glen Golf Club is frequently praised for its stunning views of Seneca Lake, friendly and accommodating staff, and overall value for a fun day of golf. The course layout is noted as challenging yet enjoyable, with many recommending the use of a cart due to the hilly terrain. However, some visitors have pointed out that the course conditions, particularly the greens, can be inconsistent, with issues like patchy or unkempt areas affecting play. Despite these concerns, the club remains a popular choice for both seasoned and novice golfers looking to enjoy the scenic surroundings.

Fair price. Stunning views. A little hilly, but next time I'll use a cart. Average difficulty. Lots of fun. Saw 3 deer!

4.5 stars. Yeah there were grass clippings sometimes. But for 25 bucks I got a nice challenging 9 holes of golf with beautiful views. I will return next year.

The people in the shop and all that work there were very friendly. They had notes on the direction to the next tee. Great Views. I have not Golfed since 2017 due to broken arm and rotator cuff surgery. I SHOT GREAT TODAY. WELL FOR ME. GREATVTO BE BSCK OUT ON THE FAIRWAYS.

Great family golf course with excellent views of Seneca Lake. We've played here a few times with our now 6 year old. The course hasn't been super busy which makes it fun to let him hit a few drives and putts. Course was in better shape than our previous visits and the staff were friendly.

It was my first time golfing on a real course and I had a great experience with quite a few opportunities to improve my game in addition to a full bar with drinks and coolers provided in advance. There were beautiful views, a great map; it's fun to be had whether you're experienced or new.

Not well taken care of anymore. Fairways had piles of dead grass clippings, bunkers are no longer bunkers, just tall grass. Greens are extremely patchy. Far more expensive than its worth. Nice clubhouse staff though!

Beautiful, expansive views of Lake Seneca. The first-come, first-serve model of no tee times works - as long as the course is open. We found it closed one day. staff could reduce customer frustration and increase review ratings if it were to leave a clear voice message every day of what people can expect. At the end of the season, the greens were slow. Lots of ups and downs, and the push carts are heavy. So a good workout.

Very nice 9 hole. Kinda hard to lose balls here, but some holes offer water challenges. Best to use cart, it's hilly.

My partner and I walked 9 holes for $30 total! The views were awesome and the course was pretty well maintained. The greens were a little inconsistent but we are low maintenance golfers who are happy to have an excuse for missing some easy putts. Highly recommend if you are in the area for wineries/breweries to break up the trip.
