Verdict Ridge Golf & Country Club

I researched several area clubs before joining Verdict Ridge and ultimately joined this fall during the initial information call—without ever seeing the course in person. I already knew its reputation and had read countless reviews, and after a few months as a member, I couldn’t be happier with my decision. Really nice and challenging course. But super lame for them to be charging full price while an entire hole is closed (without warning as well). We also tried calling in for food at the turn and was told it was "grab n' go," but it ended up taking almost 20 minutes and costing $42 for two hot dogs and three cafeteria-grade pulled pork sandwiches. Absolute rip off. Threw off our groove and pace for the remainder of the round as well. Do better.

Course has a lot of character. You have to play a few times to learn where not to hit your shots. And then you get to the greens. 😁 Had a great time in the two rounds I played.

Very nice golf course. Tee boxes, fairways, greens, and bunkers all in excellent mid-summer conditions as of late August 2025. Course is well maintained, with a fun layout. Various tee box options, so you can make it as hard or easy on yourself as you want. Friendly, accommodating, and professional staff in the pro shop. Nice full-service restaurant upstairs. Pace of play was VERY slow initially (roving marshal but did not seem to enforce pace standards) but improved after playing through a couple struggling groups. Senior discount much appreciated. We had a great day at Verdict Ridge.

The course is always in great shape. It’s a challenge but has several tee box options, including hybrid tees, to allow all golfers to enjoy their round. The staff in the clubhouse is outstanding and they go out of their way to provide excellent service. If you have time, visit Guilties restaurant before or after your round. The staff is top notch, the food is excellent, and the prices are affordable.

Very fun course to play! The course is in good shape and very well maintained. The fairways and greens are Bermuda grass. The newer bunkers are surrounded by a rye/Bermuda mix. There is a project underway to improve the bunkers. Each bunker is having better drainage added, shallowed out a little and brilliant clean sand replaced. Great course and very hard under wet conditions. However, it is stunningly beautiful from start to finish. The clubhouse and pro shop are first rate and everyone you come in contact with are friendly and helpful.

We had our wedding reception dinner at Guilties Bistro and the food was amazing! The service was incredible, Debra and her team made our wedding unforgettably wonderful. The clubhouse staff were so helpful while we were on the grounds. I would highly recommend this beautiful venue for a variety of functions.

To walk the fairways of Verdict Ridge Golf & Country Club** is to be reminded that golf, at its best, is not a contest against par but a conversation with the land. From the opening tee shot, the course makes its intentions clear. It asks for thought before strength, for placement before power. I attended a Lincoln County, NC Industrial Manufacturing Association (IMA) Annual Milestone Ceremony at Verdict Ridge, hosted by Lincoln Economic Development Association. It is always a wonderful luncheon. The staff was on point and the dining room was gorgeous.

Course was in good shape. A few holes looks like they stripped small parts of the fairway away. But other than that it was a great course. Definitely a challenging course. Only my second time playing it in a few years. It's not a cheap course, but worth the money. They have guys to load and unload your clubs. I do recommend this course if you're looking a challenge.

Really hard course but very enjoyable. Great driving holes. Play the blues and it is a man sized course with a premium on approach shots. Course was in great shape and greens are fast. Lovely homes and many tucked pins. Just a beauty. I will be back.
