In summary

The Golf Depot is appreciated for its scenic views of downtown Columbus and its convenient location, offering a range of facilities including a driving range, a par 3 course, and a nearby brewery. Visitors often commend the friendly staff and the quality of the grass tees, although some note that the course conditions can be inconsistent, with issues such as worn-out range balls and a lack of yardage markers. While the venue has potential, there are concerns about maintenance and management, with some patrons expressing dissatisfaction over the upkeep of the grounds and the availability of amenities.

Great practice facility with best view of the city and a brewery next door. Plenty of grass areas, mats available. New owners have restored the quality of the turf. Large chipping green. 9 hole par 3 course. Future request would be to add a sand trap to the chipping green. Sign for flag distances on driving range since they vary so much with tee boxes moving. $12 for large bucket of balls.

I went yesterday evening and arrived around 7:15. I wasn't sure they'd be open, given the recent reviews. The ball machine was easy to use, and I was able to use a credit card without any issues. The grounds are in rough shape, and the fact that we haven't had much rain isn't helping. They have a lot of lawn care products sitting around, but are probably holding off on wasting them due to the lack of rain. It may get better. Overall, I will be back. And of course, that lovely view of downtown is still there.

Fun par 3, driving range and an inside eating area that has great potential. I'm from out of town and a friend brought me for a fun Labor Day Game of 9 Holes. Fun course but it appears to be in it's infancy, maybe? If this business is new then I think they are on the right path and doing great. If it has been around a bit then I hope they've had a recent disaster that has caused the course to have such raw and inconsistent conditions. The course, as said, has great potential but this visit had a ton of flooded areas, loads of mosquitos and some horrendous looking (and playing) greens. It w…

Went the other day for the first time. Really nice facility. Big grass tee area with a dozen or so covered tees. Love the location. Sits high on the east side of Columbus overlooking downtown and the airport. Sits right in between the two flight paths. Cool to watch planes land as you're hitting balls. My only criticism is that the range balls were pretty old and worn out. On some the dimples were almost completely gone. Hard to gauge how well you're hitting the ball when they dont fly accurately. I will go back, though.

Giving 2 stars only because of the grass tees, brewery, and the skyline view of cbus. Other than that you can tell that this place doesn’t want to spend any money. Old par 3 course turned into a range, new concrete parking lot, but everything else is patched together. If you hit from under the awnings on the mats they refuse to buy mat tees because “they just get broken.” Grass tees are nice but rough as heck at times and no yardage markers. I don’t even think the ball cart has a cage on it, not confirming this because it was far away but I didn’t see a cage and you couldn’t pay me enough to r…

They don't have grass. You hit off rock-hard sand. It's easier to hit off the concrete in the parking lot. Very few markers. And you can't really see them or where they land. The balls are super low quality, too. Feel like little rocks. You'll learn more by just practicing swinging in your yard than hitting here.

Could be nice if they cared about serving the customer. Do not call them, they keep there phone off of the hook. Website says they are open until 8pm. Bought a bucket there two weeks at 6:50pm, no problem. Went back a week later at 6:50pm and was told they will not sell a bucket after 6:30pm.

Good place to hit balls, although bucket prices were more expensive than other local driving ranges. Also, we were hitting and someone came over and told us we were hitting in the “members” part of the range, and we could finish but then we had to move. They also kicked off a dad and his two sons from that area. If you want to have a members area, fine, but how about a sign that says Members Only? Grass tees were good. Might return in the future. EDIT: A Members Only sign was added, so I’ve added 2 stars. Also forgot to mention they have a very good short game practice area

Great place, after the Yelp! event, I too came back here a few days later with a good friend. I can't really complain about anything here, except for one thing, and I'm going to call in a recommendation. I spend most of the morning and afternoon working outside in the sun, so for a break and some fun time we came here to hit a few balls around. The breeze was awesome, however, I really wanted to stay out of the sun, so we used the covered tees. My recommendation would be, and they might even do it, would be to open up the windows/doors on the backside of the tee barn so a breeze can get in the…

Great place to hit a bucket of balls, work on your short game, or play 9 holes of a par 3. Yeah the course isn't in the best shape - it's a par 3 course you shouldn't expect The Lakes course conditions. The view is awesome as well, you can see downtown Columbus. They have a bar with a good beer selection as well as a restaurant where you can get some tasty food. Excellent way to spend a nice afternoon.

Great place to hit golf balls. I have a season pass for the Golf Depot, and it is a pleasure to work with the new owner. And - there is a brewery/pub right next to it! The Depot also has a nice little par three/four to play too. The update is this - the entire range has opened up, and there are chairs to take a brake for members.
