In summary

Blacklick Woods Golf Club is appreciated for its beautiful layout, challenging courses, and scenic setting, which includes abundant wildlife and a bird sanctuary. The practice facilities and free access to the smaller 9-hole course for Franklin County residents are also well-received. However, some visitors have expressed concerns about course maintenance, particularly the condition of the fairways and rough, as well as occasional slow pace of play and communication regarding course conditions.

We hiked the Blacklick Golf Course as the final hike in the metro park’s winter hike series. Despite snow on the course, it was easy to see how beautiful the course is - rolling hills and numerous ponds. The clubhouse was nice. The gift store, though, was small. I can’t wait to golf this lovely metro parks golf course.

The photo says it all. This was our lie in the fairway on several holes. There is just no grass to speak of. Yes it’s a muni but the superintendent really blew it. Less than $40 plus $12 for cart so not expensive but with fairways like this they shouldn’t be charging anything 😂😆 Greens were in average shape for a muni, but at least they had grass. Might not have been mown in a couple of days but there was grass. Maybe running a 6-8 on the stimpmeter. Crazy slow.

Great beginner 9 hole course. Only fees are for the golf cart. If you choose to walk it and your from Franklin county it is free. Nice driving range and full 18 hole course also available for a fee.

Came for a dog sledding seminar. The vent right above our table was so loud it drowned out the majority of the presentation. The presenter was a little too soft spoken for the size of the room. This didn't even include all the untrained kids talking, screaming, and clamoring during the whole event. Professionals need to tell parents to leave if their kids are persistently disruptive, because it's not appropriate for them to be there if they can't sit and whisper at the right level like everyone else.

Great course. Well maintained despite recent reviews. Wonderful layout. Not a house in sight. Plus, the smaller 9 hole course is free to Franklin County residents.

It was my first time playing this course. I played the back nine and the course was very beautiful.. visited the course a second time and played 18, beautiful course. They lost a star because on the front 9 (they had us start on the back 9 so front 9 was later in the day around 5pm) there was a guy mowing fairways and on 4 holes we had to wait to hit because he would be mowing right where we needed to hit, and he wouldn't stop and move to the side. He didn't kill the loud engine when you got close, he did finally shut the blades off once while we were putting but the guy followed us for 3 hole…

Took my son to the beginner coarse and we had a great time. Great place to learn the game. I love teaching my son the game of golf, but its hard on a busy coarse with golfers always in a hurry.

We have a golf group and play 4 days a week. I called and got 4 tee times for Blacklick. We show up today and the course was absolutely horrible. Greens weren’t bad but the rest of the course was maybe the worst I’ve ever seen. I play roughly 125 rounds of golf each year all around Central Ohio, so we play some very nice courses. We played here twice last year and we all thought it was a nice courses My biggest complaint is, why not tell me when I called, that they are having problems at the course. Why not reduce the green fees because of troubles they are having. Like I said this course migh…

The course was a little rough from the dry weather but I can tell they are trying to fix it. It wasn't as bad as other reviews had suggested but definitely needs some more TLC.

Courses of Blacklick Woods Golf are very challenging. Course map is also very nice. At the first time, It was not easy to find the next tee. I think it will be better if they mark the next hole with any sign. And, there is also 9 hole practice course which is good for beginners or for field range.

We played 18 holes with cart on 8/4/2025 The course is in terrible shape. The fairways look like they have the mange- more bare ground that grass. The sand traps are packed sand. All in all the worst course that I have played on in quite a while. The only good news is that it is inexpensive.
