Sunset Hills Golf Course

Thank you so much for your hospitality yesterday! We drove to Sunset Hills golf course from Kansas while on our vacation from Ontario, Canada and everyone at the course was wonderful! Explaining the course layout, apologizing for the irrigation upgrades going on, it was a great round of golf. If you're ever by this course - stop in for a round, you will not be disappointed. Thank you again and the airplane on the 5th hole will never be forgotten!

Sunset Hill was quite the adventure! We traveled a whole hour just to hit the golf course, and let me tell you, it was a bad day to be a glizzy! The staff was super friendly and amazing, making us feel right at home. The course was in great shape, but poor Gilzzzy didn’t stand a chance. That glizzy was so good, it had me questioning my life choices! I’d definitely make the trip again for another round and another glizzy—just hope it’s a better day for the glizzies next time!

Course conditions really depends on the amount of rainfall. I have golfed during a hot dry summer and everything is burnt to a crisp. I have golfed while weather has been wet and course is in good conditions. Warning the course IS NOT well kept. Folks in the clubhouse were friendly enough. Ok course if your in the area - I wouldn't drive out of my way to play here.

I have played Sunset Hills since 1967 when it was 9 green 18 tee box goat ranch, not really, but when the only grass was on the greens. Trying to keep the grass green on a yard in this part of the country is hard enough and a 18 hole golf course is almost impossible .The city owns this course and doesn't just sign a blank check when it comes to a yearly budget. With that said I must say the course is in great condition , best I've seen in years , Mike and his people have done wonders. Course has a great challenging design. Wind can be strong and the turf is firm and forgiving. Greens are great and a fun challenge!

Being an avid golfer with a high handicap, Sunset Hills plays very well as there are no out of bounds except out of the course... I have been out of the course a few times but I enjoy playing there.

Well taken care of course. Some of the flags can get rather confusing down the fairway. Very fast green. I'll be going back when I get a chance.

The course is looking better every day since the new irrigation system has been finished.

Good service ,good course very nice lay out ,it's got easy holes and tough holes greens roll true but slow
