In summary

Smithville Golf Club is appreciated for its affordable pricing and welcoming atmosphere, with a pool that is popular among families for its cleanliness and friendly staff. However, the golf course receives mixed reviews, with some visitors noting issues with course maintenance, such as rough greens and fairways, and expressing concerns over management and staff interactions. Despite these criticisms, the club remains a favored spot for casual play and family outings.

My kids love going to the pool here. Good place to cool off. 2$ a person. If u dnt swim u dnt have to pay. They do have several lifeguards on duty at all times. There are 2 ft, 3ft, 4ft, 5ft, and deeper waters where the diving boards are. There are slides also but kids must be able to touch or know how to swim. (No life jackets, floaties, etc. in the slide area) On the down side food is pricey. Kids go to swim and everyone knows u are extremely hungry while doing so. Really wish they would reconsider the prices . Besides that Its a good place to take the kiddos when its blazing outside..🌶😥 Hop…

I grew up learning how to play on this course when i first started playing golf. I was in H.S. and this was one of the closest courses near my home town of Woodbury that was affordable for us play and learn on. I now live in Murfreesboro and have not played this course in probably ten years. A buddy of mine just started playing golf so we came here to play since he is fairly new Saturday 05/30/2020. We had a great time and the course was in great condition! The tee boxes could have been trimmed a little lower but with all the rain we had this past week they probably were not able to get them c…

Horrible greens staff! Too bad I can’t give a zero! The course fairways are under serious sod replacement, and the flimsy hand written paper flapping in the wind on the entry door must have been flipped up by the wind as we entered which stated to stay on the cart paths for 3 weeks, no dates listed. On hole one, 2 minutes in to the round we were about 10 feet off the path on the fairway not knowing this, and the raging crew from the nearby barn yelled at the top of their lungs with pure heated negative tone to get on the path or LEAVE! They immediately repeated this in an amped up method befor…

I’ve played this course for years. Many rounds and evenings played here. I can say that the course as a whole has declined. Below are my reviews and opinions: TL;DR: If you’re strapped for cash (can’t spare $25 extra bucks), a beginner golfer, have too much time on yours hands, and/or just want to mess around— this course is for you! Otherwise, I would seek an alternative course. Price: definitely cheaper than most golf courses. However, as the old saying goes, “you get what you pay for”. This holds true. Price has increased to $30 for 18 holes but condition of the course as a whole has decl…

Today me and a buddy when to play a 9 hole here for my first ever game of golf. We drove an hour to get here and when we did it started off great. When we made it to the 5th hole we had our cart next to the green and one of the people living around the hole took a picture, since they were down the hill from the green it looked as if the cart was on it. They sent the picture to the lady that works there and she banned us without a second thought… she even got the cops involved. Not to mention we went to the green and there wasn’t a single tire mark on the green or anything wrong with it. Also s…

The fairways were high, last clippings still in piles. Greens were sad, dimples and muck on all of them. The tee boxes were so hard it was very difficult to get the tee in the ground. Just sad😞

Course was wide open. Not much trouble to get into. Needed colored balls as there was so many dandelions I lost a white ball in the fairway. Greens were rough and few amenities. Price was good One person I spoke with was cordial if not knowledgeable

Well..... great 9 hole course overall with a Great staff. However; i showed up to play 9 @ 3:30pm to find a sign showing carts are to be retuned at 4:15pm (but Google shows the business closes at 6pm). After asking why the carts need retuned by 4:15pm if they dont close till 6p (according to Google), i was told they don't mess with that..... Come on its 2023 almost 2024 and a person can't reference Google to check business hours a feel confident its correct???

The pool was nice but a bit dirtier than I liked but it is a public pool so expected. My girls loved swimming and playing there. Everyone was nice and a sweet lifeguard Preslee talked to my girls and myself and they loved conversations with her. One wants to be a life guard when she gets in high school because of her kindness!

Well we went back for my second time ever this weekend. And as we were paying we got flagged for our first time ever being there a few weeks back for not letting people go in front. and heavy drinking. Which is a lie we more than once offered to let people pass and talked to the ranger several times thru out the day! Nothing was ever mentioned we done something wrong. Bad management. We spoke to the same ranger today. I believe the stories are twisted. It is crazy because we would have done anything he asked that day.
