Smithfields Country Club

The level of investment that is happening at SCC is astonishing. Tyler and Melissa have made a great commitment with projects like the Pool upgrade, the sand trap project, renovation of the clubhouse, and driving range improvement. These are not all the improvements which is amazing over the short 2 years they have owed the club. Their commitment to making the member experience first class is greatly appreciated. Happy for the bright future that SCC has ahead of it.

I joined Smithfields in March of this year, and I am extremely glad I did. The general manager Wilkes has created one of the best values in the upstate when it comes to private clubs. The course is extremely well maintained (with perfect greens even in the middle of December), the food is on par with any high-end restaurant in the area, and the owners are consistently putting funds back into the facilities. While there has been some turnover which is expected these days, I can’t think of any other issues at this time. If you are looking for a club with great value in the upstate, this is it.

Played a tournament here. Course was in nice condition and was the right amount of challenging for a mid beginner. Club house was nice and staff was friendly.

Great course and friendly staff! The course is in excellent shape, and the owners are always working to make it even better. It’s an easy drive from Greenville, and the pool area is perfect for families. If you’re looking for golf lessons, they’ve got you covered—Cristiano does an outstanding job!

Initially I had left an unfavorable review. But after having a conversation with the owner Tyler, I feel that I should update. Tyler took the time to personally call me and listen as I voiced my concerns. I feel in today’s environment that is commendable and a great character virtue not found very often. We spoke as gentleman and were able to resolve my concerns. I appreciate his candor and concern and wish him and his business all the best success!

I'm a tree trimmer that's worked on the golf course and had lunch there. I got a burger with fries and it was awesome. Nice golf course and great place to have lunch if you enjoy golf.

Course is tight, but fun to play.

Smithfield’s has new owners. Tyler and Mellisa. As someone who has met them and has seen what they do to staff/courses they take over it is very sad. This course will never be the same. The staff will never be the same. Prices will increase drastically and quality will decrease. The new owners live over 6 hours away, they will never be there. It is not top priority, they are just in it for the money. They don’t care who they burn.
