In summary

Silsbee Country Club is appreciated for its well-maintained 9-hole course, which can be played as an 18-hole layout, and the friendly, attentive staff. Many visitors enjoy the peaceful setting and the quality of the greens and fairways, with some highlighting the delicious food at TK Grill. However, some guests have mentioned issues with the pace of play and the condition of certain facilities, such as the driving range and clubhouse.

For a 9 hole course, this is a nice place. They are renovating the 19th hole, so I will not give opinions on that. The course is well maintained and has good greens. They tend to be fast. They are all small turtle back greens, which makes the holes challenging. My biggest disappointment is that of the 10 times I have played here, the driving range has been closed every time.

Would not recommend playing here unless you enjoy 5-hour rounds packed behind groups that clearly shouldn’t be stacked together. Pace of play is brutal, and instead of helping things move along, the marshal (Larry) seems more interested in yelling at paying customers for no reason. The course itself has gone downhill over the years. I was a member for 3 years and learned the game here, so this isn’t coming from someone who played it once and got mad. The conditions are nowhere near what people hype them up to be. Fairways are inconsistent, greens are extremely small, hard, and turtle-backed,…

Enjoyed my day on the course. 9-hole course but setup so you can play 18 with tee boxes located in different spots. No issues and great people working there.

First off, the golf instructor showed up 20 minutes late, wearing flip-flops and what I can only assume was last night’s party attire. His first piece of advice? “Just hit the ball, man.” Ah yes, the kind of deep wisdom you’d expect from a Zen master—or a guy who’s never actually played golf before. The man had the attention span of a distracted squirrel. Halfway through my lesson, he got sidetracked trying to teach a goose how to fetch a golf ball. He also took a snack break, two phone calls, and one unannounced nap in a golf cart.

It smells like cigarette smoke on the inside of the clubhouse, it's so strong you can't breathe just trying to use the restroom. They need to stop allowing smoking on the inside of building. But the course itself is looking real good.

Fun place. Attended a reception there and had a great time. Bar attached has a window to order from or step into the full bar to smoke a cigarette if you don't want to step out on the 400 square feet porch leading out to the cart course. All along we did it the same time as a golf tournament but it was still super fun with karaoke. 3 golfers snuck over to hang out too 😋

Pricing is very reasonable. There is no food service or beverage bar. 9 hole course, but you can replay the same 9 with a par reduction to make an 18 hole set. Grounds are well kept. Worth going to visit and play a round, especially for the pricing.

Course was good, the only complaint I had was 4 person group was playing a scramble, and picking up if they were close to the hole. A couple times they would tee off before we play ed our second shot. We stayed on the cart path per the golf course rule, they didn't. Where was the Marshall. Several other golfers was driving on the fairways.

Greens are in better shape. The owner is on his toes working at the course. Really enjoyed my day of golfing there.

We love to eat at TK Grill that is located in the Silsbee Country Club main Club House. Food is really delicious. It's cooked fresh and made from quality meats. Burgers and Chicken Fried Steak are the best. Staff is very nice.
