This is a fun course to play for golfers of all skill levels. Although it is not near the condition it was in the late 80s and early 90s it remains viable with a lot of play. You can expect slow greens and lots of grass from tee to green. With smaller greens, I find there is a premium on chipping. A great way to practice. The pace of play is fast if you like that. We played 18 in just over 2 hours. Front nine, with more sun, is better than the back. Only one hole is under 100 yards withe the longest at 175. For women they make 4 holes per side par 4s. If you are in the area play it! When we…

A great executive 18 hole golf course. Although we been to Brevard before to play golf we never tried this executive golf course. We played it today to do a warm-up round for the Championship Courses near by. We were very surprised by the quality of the greens, they rival any of the courses in NC for quality, trueness of putts and dieses free. The front 9 is more flat and the back 9 more hills. The fairways are cut a little long so you will not get a roll of ball as on most courses. But for learning to play the game, or just going out for a fun round to improve your putting or short game this…

Not far off the beaten path in Brevard, NC you’ll find an 18-hole, par 3 golf course with a unique twist. The Sherwood Forest Golf Course is an Audubon Sanctuary development located 9 miles south of Brevard, in the beautiful mountains of western North Carolina. Sherwood Forest is open to the public year-round and golfers of all ages and abilities are welcome. Tee times are not required. Sherwood Forest is all about having fun and, according to the guy in charge, PGA pro Brian Lautenschlager, if you’re not having fun out here, there’s something wrong. The course is fun and challenging for golfe…

Fantastic 18 hole par 3 course. Play it w my family regularly and it’s great for adults, kids, learners. We bring the dog along and they have carts and even Llama caddies if you let them know in advance. The Pro Brian is VeRY kind and generous- the whole experience is a pleasure every time.

This is a great course for all ages and all levels. Sherwood Forest Golf Course is a nice rolling par 3 course with plenty of challenges for the seasoned player. Pull carts and electric carts are available for rent. Cost for a round is very reasonable. You will be greeted by Brian and he will tell you "Go out and have fun"!

Best Par 3 around. Small greens make for a fun challenge for your approach game. Very kind and helpful staff.

Good course where you can get in 18 holes (all par 3's mind you) in just a couple hours. However, in all my times playing it, have never had a time where the greens were in good or consistent condition. This is a bummer, because the benefit of playing this course is the ability to really focus on your short game, but not being able to putt or chip with any green consistency leaves a lot to be desired.

A beautiful course where the greens are well kept, the birds are singing, and the temperatures are perfect. It's hard to want to attract attention to this little gem, but the owners deserve it. The PGA pro Brian is exquisite. He has a great relaxed approach to giving lessons. Whether you're a beginner or just need to brush up on some skills, he's the instructor you want! He'll make you comfortable and give you a great lesson if you're a beginner, but he'll also leave you with tips and drills to keep progressing your game on your own. Definitely stop by next time you're in Brevard. It's a great…

Prettiest par 3 east of the Missippi. Well maintained and friendliest staff. Come early and come often.

Great little par 3, I didn't go into the pro shop, but it seems like they'd have the normal fare. They have carts, push carts or you could just walk it. $18 for 18 holes, can't really beat that.
